Shock upgrade

I have trek rail 7 2022 size medium, its stock on 230x57.5 and I want to upgrade the rear shock to 230x60 or 230x62.5, can I do one of them?

I ran a few different 65mm stroke dampers on my rail so you shouldn't have a problem BUT beware of some brands as they can have clearance issues with their reservoirs on smaller frames

Hi guys I'm riding a trek rail 9.8 large and was wondering has anyone swapped the rear shock , I have always loved the fox float x2 but not sure if it the piggy back will hit the frame , or any other suggestions would be great thanks

Trek Rail 7 Medium fitted with a DVO Jade X 230.60mm shock. I test fitted it without the spring set at 65mm travel but the wheel touched the back of the seat tube with a 27.5 wheel. You have to face the rebound damper backwards as well. Nice shock though. I like it.
