Hi everyone

I'm planning the changes I'm going to make to my 2021 9.7 when it arrives next month. Will likely take the NX stuff off it immediately as I personally dislike SRAM and such quality frameset deserves better.

As I understand it, the NX uses a Shimano freehub? Has got me thinking that I might replace the drivetrain with 10spd Saint which is pretty much the best feeling drivetrain I've ever used. I'm thinking I could likely get by with a 36t cassette? Does anyone actually use the monster 50t rings on their eagle? I seems like there would be no need with all that power? Maybe 42t would be a better compromise?

I would be riding in the Surrey hills for reference, so not going up outrageously steep stuff..

Also have and ohlins ttx coil and shigura setup ready to go too, can't wait ?

Cheers!

Personally I think 11 speed XT is the sweet spot as the ability to multiple shift with one push both up and down is something I love - I too ride Surrey Hills, and no you won't use the big dish round there unless you ride in the least powerful mode a lot when it will come into play.

Ooooh, I didn't realise the 11spd xt had the double upshift function too! That's the main reason I love the Saint group.

Cheers for the heads up
