Replace gear cable JAM² C Plus 2018

Has anyone replaced gear cable on a JAM² C Plus?
Do you need to drop motor to replace outer?
Can you replace innef by threading new cable through existing outer? Gear

Loosened motor so I could swing it out the way to let me pull new outer with assistance of electricians rod threaded from shifter end. Then pushed through inner. Job sorted!
