Repairing Shimano e6100 motor

Hi, I own a Chike cargo bike and at 13,000 km the motor is making grinding noises. Two different bike shops told me that it's a mid-motor problem. Repairing it professionally could cost anything between 100 and 300 eur.
I can buy a new E6100 motor for 500 eur, so for me it only makes sense to either buy the the new motor or repair the old one by not spending more than 100-150 eur.
It is my first time messing up with an electric motor but I tried reparing first. After disassembling it I can't see any problem with bearings or the nylon metal gears. I thought these below are distorted shims, but apprently they supposed to be like that. Or perhaps clutch assembly with the roller bearing but I don't know if it is worn out.

I've posted more pictures below. What should I do? If I just replace all the parts metal and nylon, bearings, clutch assembly the price would be more than 250 eur and I'd prefer to get a new motor. I can get just a new clutch assembly for 100 eur, but as I say I don't know if it is the source of the problem. Should I perhaps disassembly that roller bearings and clean them? Can anyone tell how this is done..?

If the main crankshaft bearings feel fine then it may not be the motor. Those two would be the two to change and put it back together.

If after that it’s still noisy time to check chain, cassette and chainring.

Thanks Benny, I need to change chain and both chainring/sprocket anyway, the back wheel with gears is realtively new (changed a year ago). I'm thinking about greasing the motor putting it back with new chain, etc. and doing more testing. If it still feels like it's motor then getting a new one...

an update from me: after the clean up, the motor gives E010/W030 warnings which I was not able to get rid off, despite of applying several fixes. So, I am getting a new motor and selling the old one for parts.

Why I always suggest to send them to www.E-MotorRepairs.co.uk as they are experts in this sort of thing and it may have avoided this errors from appearing.

Yes, but I would not spend too much for a noisy motor. My plan was to try a low-cost repair and if it fails, buy a new motor (500 eur). Diagnosis itself could already cost 100 (incl. postage) and repair anywhere in 100-300 eur, so I didn't go this path.

Another update. I've received a new E6100 motor and downgraded it to firmware 4.5.0, by using E-tube 3.4.5 + MS-PCE01 running on MacBook with VritualBox/Windows 10.
I am not sure how to modify it for 20" wheel:
- I don't want to use the wobbly Bluetooth connection, just MS-PCE01. However, E-Tube does not give me access to such modifications.
- PC/Mac Etuning does not work for me.
- The method with DnSpy doesn't work either, though I may have to learn first how to use it

Any other ways of modifying E6100 connected via MS-PCE01. Btw, I am using the direct connection with the motor because I didn't manage to connect it while powered by the bike...
