RECON E HL1000 Light on 2022 Giant

I have a 2022 Reign E+3 and was looking at the Recon Front light to go with my Magicshine 4500 that i can move to my helmet ?

Has anyone installed one of thease lights on a 2022 Giant Reign (I assume Trance is the same) How hard is it to access the connector ?

I installed the same light on my 2021 Trance X E+. The connector is tucked just above the battery top retainer. I had to remove the battery and the retrainer (2 security torx). The light has a wire long enough to leave the connector inside the down tube, I ran the wire thru the right side groomet along with the dropper cable.

Keep in mind your GIand light will connect directly to the bike cable, no cutting or splicing required

I had to readjust the battery retainer a few time to get it to the right position, it might take a few tries.

I put the same light on my 2021 Stance as well but I think the problem is with the new controls on the 2022's would it still work? I'm not sure how you'd turn the light on/off with the new buttons in 2022.

I bought them fitted them, the functionality was horrific so they went back, they defaulted to full power whenever i switched the bike on, and as other pointed out with the 2022 controller you have to reprogram a button for lights meaning i lost walk assist which was a no go, shame the supplied switch did not do on/off.
