Rear shock

So, my eeb came with an e-mtb shock but I’ve got a perfectly good rear shock with a meg neg I’d like to try. As it’s not e-bike tuned will drama ensue?

No. It'll be fine.

I'm fairly sure that 99% of 'ebike specific' stuff is exactly the same but marketed differently towards ebikes.

OK, some stuff like forks are made built from thicker, cheaper steel and sold for the same price but there's nothing stopping you running non ebike forks.

Fit it, ride it

I do wonder if most of the stuff marketed for e-bikes is just gumpf but since I’m pretty new to this whole thing it’s best to check. Cheers for the reply

Do you know what damper tune the two shocks are running?

I don’t I’m afraid. Just ones a fox and the other is a rock shox. Both trunnion and same eye to eye.

There should be a code printed on the shock that will let you look it up on the respective manufacturers website
