Might get more responses if you run this as a poll as opposed to a pole. My coffee machine doesn't have a pole in it...

BTW, DeLonghi Beans to Cup machine. Superb and now on my second generation one!

I use a Cafelat Robot for the last maybe three years. Baratza Sette 270WI grinder. Poor man's expresso setup. Previously to that a Flair PRO ll. I heat the basket on my water steamer prior to each dose.

I only have one cup in the morning. Add a little sugar and milk with that and I’m good-to-go😉 9067C35C-BBFC-4E8A-B50B-6176185F0F47.jpeg
…riding.

I got this badboy , slots in nicely between the toaster and the microwave ☺️

A Pole I can get into!

We have been rocking a Jura Superautomatic Classic S9 for a few years now. Love it.

For when we want drip vs. espresso based drinks, we used to use a Cuisinart Grind & Brew, but after 15 years, it gave up, so we recently bought a Moccamaster setup and a Breville grinder. I don't quite have the grind down perfectly yet... We are working on it. I do like the ritual of grinding the fresh beans, the smell, the process... But the coffee isn't quite perfect yet.

As I said, Beans to Cup. Lovely. Had one of these (or predecessor) for about 10 years...

A couple of years ago, Tchibo wanted to enter the US market & offered this machine at a big discount, with a few bags of coffee:

It actually does a pretty nice job of making an americano style cup. It is quite loud, but is easy to clean, and has a small footprint, so we use it in our camper, or caravan, as some of you may call it. Also keeps us from having to bring another machine in and out of the house when we travel.

A few years ago when I got sick of using my Aeropress every morning I googled coffee makers and the testing I saw said that the actual temp the water is introduced at was key. There were two that passed that test, one was like $400 and made in the Netherlands and the other was $100 called the Bonnavita. Cause I'm cheap guess which one I went with and use to this day? I kept the Aeropress for traveling though, nothing like going into some remote gas station and asking if you can bum some hot water.....

My youngest son who is a coffee snob won't drink my coffee when he comes to visit but the end result, using organic dark roasts, drank black and hot works for me.

Your grinder looks like mine except for the name. Looks like Sage=Breville... I never got the hang of using an espresso machine.

Sage is the UK name for breville. It can be very frustrating at times trying to get the setup right, especially if the beans are not up to scratch. I recently threw out two new packets of beans because they wouldn't brew properly.

I used to have a Gaggia classic or whatever it was called.
These days I just use a grinder and a French press/Cafetiere.
My kitchens too small and I don't really have the space for an Espresso machine

I must have read the same review.

Bonnavita tastes great, but the cap is awful. Drips, more than pours into a cup.

Older Silvia that I converted to PID temperature controller and a DP64 grinder. Why? Because I value value, and I prefer industrial robustness over electronic features on an appliance that's made of chocolate. It took many months of fiddling with a bottomless portafilter to (mostly) get rid of channeling, but now that I have the espresso is very tasty.

I use a 1Zpresso JX-PRO and an Aeropress for my regular coffees.

Upgraded from a Breville Barista Express to a Barista Pro. My wife was using the Express to much in her bakery to make Espresso marshmallows and so I bought myself an upgrade. Took a little bit to get them dialed in but once they were, I levelled up my addiction for an amazing Americano.

no matter what I try, and I have used machines in friends houses from bean to cup to ludicrous espresso only devices, I also go back to a standard Bialetti Moka pot. It's the shiz.

I'm looking for a 10 or 12 cup countertop model. My kitchen counter is microscopic, so (small) size matters. I have about 18" height clearance which includes any space needed to pour water in. It must have auto shutoff and programmable start time. Plenty of dishwasher safe parts are a big plus. Black or almond color preferred.

The Cuisinart Brew Central and the Grind and Brew look pretty good. Anybody have any experience with these?

It looks like there are some good machines around $100. Let's say my max is $150, and maybe a little more for something outstanding. After all, it is the most important appliance in the house.
I had a Cuisinart Grind & Brew for about 15 years. Used it every day. Get the one with the larger bean storage, double insulated carafe vs. glass pot & a gold filter. Will make good coffee for years. A little rubber washer finally gave out, we bought a new one to fix it. I think eventually it died due to the hard water we have.

Spend up enough on that model to get the better features and I think you are still under $150-200. I really liked the carafe, vs. the glass.

I finally learned how to use one of those and the pump type cappuccino maker when in Sicily last year. Before that, it was a mystery. Hey, at least I never got into instant, which is all my mom ever drank.

I abandoned my drip machine I posted about 3/23 a few months ago in favor of a $30 Amazon espresso machine due to boredom of cups of black coffee in favor of some frothy hot cappacino style beverage. My son has a nicer one at his house and after a visit there I got attracted to the option.

Takes less grounds per day and one cup does the trick quite nicely. I supplement with a few maple rocks and a chunk of dark chocolate most days now also and am happy with my new program.

Some good ideas in here but I’m a one-cupper in the morning. You know …to get ya moving.

Just can’t acquire a taste for tea…any kinda tea…unless it’s ice-tea with some sugar. I like ice-coffee too.

It stands to reason that eMTB riders would require an eCoffeeMaker. Personally, I prefer a French Press. But before you label me a complete Luddite, I'll let you know that I use an electric burr mill to grind my beans.

I have a $35 Black and Decker from Amazon and drink Lavazza. When I was in the Navy, I drank 2-day old coffee with jet fuel in it. The Lavazza is better!

All these fancy espresso machines. ;)
As the lone coffee drinker in the house, I use a Mr. Coffee Mini 5 cup. fill it full and 4 oz of Black Rifle Murdered out. It'll wake the dead.

I have a Rancilio Silvia. What coffee machine do you have & why that one?
Me too! Plus a electric coffee grinder. Quality coffee beans from small raoster nearby. Takes a while and stable quality beans to get familiar with grinding grades and tampering.
Perfect espresso taste for starting a day or in between.

At work I have my personal Nespresso system since colleagues are brewing regular coffee either style slurry or insomnia.

PS: Coffee from fully automated coffee machines like Jura, Delonghi is sometimes called Cafe Funghi, as these boxes are difficult to clean inside and are quickly creating mold from coffee powders and brewing humidity.
