I have a problem with my sons 2019 Powerfly 7. The bike pedals fine with the motor engaging but as soon as it reaches cut out speed, when the motor stops , the pedals seem to lock and wont go round. When the speed drops back dawn and the motor starts again it pedals fine.

Does anyone have any idea what the fault could be?

Thanks

I’m not familiar with the 2019 model of the Bosch motor. The crank or peddle locking at cutout assist speed seems strange. I would think that you could peddle with or without peddle assist.

On my Bosch CX motor I’m able to peddle without motor assist, albeit it feels like I’ve dropped an anchor if I lose assist while riding.

Sounds like something internal is not engaging which may mean the motor is toast. Try peddling through the modes while the bike is in a stand. Listen for strange noises or a strange feel. 🤷‍♂️

The gen 2 Bosch motor is not exactly user friendly without power. But if it's as bad as you say then it needs stripping and sorting before the circuit board packs up and makes it an expensive paper weight
