I would be interested in a second 600W battery option for the new Pivot Shuttle Ampd/ Avinox S2 if anyone knows of compatibility/availability through Pivot?

Call me crazy if you want, but I think the Amp'd pricing is exactly right when seen in perspective to the current marketplace. It's essentially $1800 more than an Amflow PX Pro, but comes with a better Zeb Ultimate fork (IMO), RS shock that I prefer, DT wheels, and better brakes (IMO); plus Pivot is a much more premium brand with wayyy more experience building high-quality bikes. Plus the Amp'd is simply better looking to me than the Amflow PX with that cheap looking bent top tube.Saw the bicolor Pro here at the LBS, already sold. Looks very nice and they expect more bikes late April / May that may be abailable for a quick test around the corner. Then in June there is a plan for a guided Pivot Test Ride event nearby for that I registered. Still a hell of a money for a bicycle.
Right. Well, it feels some kind of overkill for my use cases. That is why I appreciate the possibility to test the bike on a trail with some advice instead of parking lot round. Around 2010 Canyon was offering rental bikes on a hourly basis with setting up properly & GPS routing at a excellent shop in Heerlen, Netherlands. That was great to test 100mm vs 120mm Canyons full suspension bikes and finally for finding right frame size. Rental fees have been credited when buying.Call me crazy if you want, but I think the Amp'd pricing is exactly right when seen in perspective to the current marketplace. I think that's worth $1800.
Interesting how the motors are positioned differently. The difference in the frame is likely related to how the shock is positioned. The Pivot design is probably better since the yoke stresses the shock more.Right. Well, it feels some kind of overkill for my use cases. Regarding frame design I like the lower section of the Amflow more than the Pivot:

I agree Amflow looks nicer at the bottom, but Ampd has a battery placed much lower in the downtube, in front of the motor, making overall CG lower. And look how exposed is Amflow chainringRight. That chainring is also exposed on the Pivot, just not visible on all pics taken….I agree Amflow looks nicer at the bottom, but Ampd has a lower part of the battery placed much lower in the downtube, in front of the motor, making overall CG lower. And look how exposed is Amflow chainring![]()
The one I rode at Sea Otter had a chainring protector. You can kinda see it in your picture. There is more detail from one that was on display is below and from pictures on their website.That chainring is also exposed on the Pivot, just not visible on all pics taken….

mondraker and pivot m2 bikes are extremely different and aimed at different things. A lot will depend on what you want out of the bike. Poppy and playful or fast plow machineFor any kiwis the pre orders are open for May delivery.
GX = $17,995
XO = $21,995
Mondraker looking much better value IMO
Interesting take, did you have a bad experience? Pivot is widely regarded as having great customer service. My LBS is an authorized dealer of several brands and their mechanic likes working with Pivot best, they pick up the phone when he calls. My own limited experience asking a few questions was the same, quick and useful replies from people that actually work there as opposed to overseas call centers.If Pivot had better customer service Id own one.
I mentioned value, Factory 38 and Factory Float X vs Performance models on the Pivot for the same price in NZ.mondraker and pivot m2 bikes are extremely different and aimed at different things. A lot will depend on what you want out of the bike. Poppy and playful or fast plow machine
They never answer the phone or emails. If they actually do answer emails they are super rude and it takes weeks for a reply.Interesting take, did you have a bad experience? Fortunately my experience with Pivot Australia thus far has been excellent.They never answer the phone or emails. If they actually do answer emails they are super rude and it takes weeks for a reply.

Yeah, most people generally are positive about Pivot's support but I respect @B-man's experience too, no support is perfect.Fortunately my experience with Pivot Australia thus far has been excellent.
That's a great way of wording it. This bike is just really FUN to ride.This bike is so much fun !
Damn buddy, you go through some frames, it's not often that I see numbers like that (plus your broken Scors)! Looking forward to seeing how your Norco holds up now, as you are a legit example of real world testing to failure!I've had the opposite experience, my only gripe is that I'm on my fourth Firebird frame in 3 years due to cracking or disbonding. However, they've always answered my questions and have been stand up as far as warranty support.
31.6mmOne question for lucky owners: what is dropper post diameter on this bike?
Sweet bike, I just ordered the exact same color and the pro version. I’m short 5/3 so I got theNBD!
