Wow..thanks for confirming and adding further detail..😂
Your pics are "interesting " if you are a fan of desert scenery ..but starting every post with " Just South Of The Grand Canyon "...thats become more than a little bit boring ( to me anyway)

99 percent of everything in Arizona is, Just South Of The Grand Canyon!

This mostly Mexican-American crew “El 100” I started riding with on Tuesday nights really sets a high standard for after-ride eats. Last week it was carne asada; tonight we had an unbelievable ceviche with clams and shrimp! These guys know how to do it.

Only slightly more upmarket than a pint of IPA ..and a packet of crisps or salted peanuts that ends most of our rides 😂

Probably tasty but i wouldn't gobble that shrimp in the last picture it reminds me of something else 🤔 . Your night city shot is a cracker though.

Riding this morning with Mrs irie (aka Angie) up Chalkpit Lane to the Trundle.

As the sign describes, Chalkpit Lane has a very chequered history. For example:

Falling off in Chalkpit Lane when being over ambitious coming down sometimes requires a trip to Chichester hospital A&E. ;)

Can't beat a bit of local history how much of it is true is another story.

NO pic! :(

Yes the weather is fantastic, but my bike is still not back. I delivered it to the LBS on 19th Jan. I thought I might as well get some work done while I was ill. Suspension serviced, wheels trued, all bearings checked, all new cables inner &outer for gears and dropper. Motor sent for a clean out and regrease.
Everything is done, but still waiting for the motor!!! Three weeks after it was booked in they finally opened it up and found it was OK (as I suspected, but it is over 4 years old). One week later and I'm still waiting! I got over my illness, then had a recurrence and now I'm fine, finally! :)

My last bike ride was New Year's Eve! This has to be the longest time without riding a bike since when I first got one more than 30 years ago. I even cleaned and polished my Shimano AM41 bike shoes, that's how bored I was!
Missing the bike, a lot! The brilliant weather after all the persisting rain is just rubbing salt into my wounds.

I ve got that much energy now that I've even been out gardening, scraping moss off the drive, shredding Hawthorne branches and Pampas grass. That's how much I miss the bike! Displacement activity I think the pyschologists call it. :(

If I hadn't had so much spare time without a bike, I wouldn't have started to look at Santa Cruz Vala bikes! Oh dear, the 90 is calling to me.

I couldn't live with one bike even my 25 year old hardtail is ok if needs must. Yes everyone promises the best service before they get the goods. Plumbers the same . Get well soon

First post-work ride of the year and first crash on the new bike. In my defense it looked drier than it was and some of the other usually unrideable when wet trails were running amazing so I'll take the L. Ribs are sore today though as my forearm was tucked under me when I landed on my shoulder, still, great ride.

Though I'm 110% not a fan of these maxxis tyres, bike came with an Assegai up front and compared to what I usually ride magic mary/big Betty I've got 156km logged on the new bike so far and have had so many near misses and sketchy moment thanks to the front tyre just not gripping where the magic Mary would and last night drove it home for me, last time I had a tyre like this it was a specialized butcher I picked up for cheap.
