Nice ride alone today because wife's away with her pals in Honfleur to see the Bayeux Tapestries and Normandy beaches, and go shopping of course ;)

Tracks are getting quite overgrown concealing a lot of barbed wire side fencing so if going to fall off must remember to bail out on the other side.

Finally a view of the Eastern Solent, the Isle of Wight, and Portsmouth in the distance. 20250610_144257.jpg

We shuttled up to 9,200 feet among the sequoias in the Sierra Nevada mountains, and dropped down into a distant glacier-carved river valley far below. I assumed it would be an intermediate level trail, and the "black" rating was due to the remote wilderness. That wasn't the case. The black rating was well deserved. Sure, there was a lot of flow singletrack and grassy meadows. But some of the climbing was quite grueling, and the downhill was treacherous with serious exposure. It was Pho King GREAT!

Tea Hut loop Torridon dry and plenty Midge . Lot of knarly bits going down to Ashnashellach so walked a lot I could have ridden. Funny how I think more about the consequences as I get older. Seen the Famous Five names in the bothy book , Hodge and his muckers. Aye lads as we turned left we could see the route you would have took , not for me . I walked it many years ago that was bad enough.

Is that Blairadam Forest near Kelty in Fife? Or Kelty Wids if yer a Fifer.
There's a very similar bit including the orange coloured water from old mine workings.
A dinna ken , bit if yir looking for a mug in fife tak yer ain 😄

Indeed it is.
You local? I'm just up the road near Kinross, mate that I'm going in there tomorrow with is from Dunfermline. He just bought an Amflow a couple of months or so ago, makes my Levo SL puff and pech a bit not to mention me as well.
Hoping it's no turned into a swamp again after the rain we've had.

Epic ride today through the trails of Ravna Gora and a scenic loop around Trakošćan Castle!
Perfect mix of forest flow, fresh mountain air, and stunning lake views. Croatia really knows how to spoil mountain bikers!

Dunfermline. Was there on Tuesday and Thursday. Before the rain. Was ok then. But, now, not so sure. I've only had the Amflow a few days, but liking it so far.

Aye it turns back into primordial swamp pretty quick nowadays. Been riding the trails in there for 30 odd years, I'm no a youngster nae mair.:( Need tae avoid the swampy bits the morra. Might bump into ye in there some day. My mate loves his Amflow, we had a wee trip up to Boat of Garten to pick it up with a couple of days riding in Cairngorms. One of our other riding mates has a Specialized Levo SL Carbon like mine.
