This is a good point though. Some KOMs here have been drastically quicker to the main pack due to obvious glitches in the tracking device. Not that we take this seriously!

A quick ride this morning after the rains and snow. 
I expected more snow but the creeks were flowing and the roots were slick.

Had to give myself a bit of a motivational speech this morning to get out of the door ..but the missus had already left and nobody else around to call the men in the white coats for a ride to the loony farm ..so eventually made it ..
It's been a good while since I started a ride from the door and as usual by the time I got back I chided myself for not doing so more often ...
I can get to the first bridleway within 5 mins of leaving the house ( Bellingham, Northumberland )
which would take me over a moorland stretch and into the Pundershaw section of Kielder Forest ..but sacrificed this for 2.5 miles of tarmac to get there a bit quicker ..
A great mix of b/ way , forest tracks & moorland for my first snowy/ ice ride of the winter ..loved it

Its like winter has arrived! The trails were pretty slippery with the snow and trying to figure out where the roots and rocks were as a challenge.
Below the snow line the trails were wet but grippy if you avoided the diagonal roots.
At the bottom of the mountain, the run off was just starting to build. 75 -100mm if rain for Monday!
