the ends look like rose hips, bigger fruit than what we would see in western Canada, we make rose hip jelly from ours and rose hip tea but a lot of work for what you getStill unsure what they are someone said rose hips . Could make rosehip gin .
Yes you could be right. I will be looking at the plants in spring and summer to see the leafs etc. Seen a recipe for rosehip gin . I would need to buy jars for making it and probably 2ltrs gin just want to make sure before I poison myself.the ends look like rose hips, bigger fruit than what we would see in western Canada, we make rose hip jelly from ours and rose hip tea but a lot of work for what you get

I think their for the bin . Everyone has a different opinion as to what they are. Juniper was mentioned today. We would miss you!
Some recommendations…..
Juniper? I don‘t think so. Would be perfect choice for gin. If you open one it will look like this, at least good for tea!I think their for the bin . Everyone has a different opinion as to what they are. Juniper was mentioned today.
I reckon they're the best grips out there the Oury lock-ons!Tequipas trail in the Santa Ynez Valley Mountains of CA USA. 180 deg view at the peak, looking to the right is Cachuma Lake, to the left, the Pacific Ocean overlooking Santa Barbara. Its a short 8mi loop, 2300ft up If you are fast, 13min or less down. Rode with my 2 analog bikers so had a chance for some pics.

Up beside side pike over looking Great Langdale in the Lake DistrictLoads of great random pictures of folks bikes leant on stuff or just great scenery.
Is there a place for "Picture of the Day"
Can be your e-bike or the great terrain you have ridden.
Only stipulation, it has to be recent.
Might not be everyones cup of tea, but I love the places I ride.
Can I kick off with this evenings "daily exercise" run in beautiful Bilsdale, North Yorkshire,UKView attachment 28181
Apologies if this has been done before and died.
Edit: Oh and can we keep it to pictures (preferably one or two), and not degenerate into chat about what mudgaurd / tyre/ cable end , or whatever?

View attachment 128966 I could leave them frozen till spring or summer . Then could probably identify it with the leaves on the bushes by then. Not giving up yet. An hour of my life picking berries i will never get back.

Could be like one of those lads you see in the car park occasionally out polishing the car .Great photo but something doesn’t add up! How did you get your bike to a location like that in the Lake District without a single splash of mud or sprinkling of dust? Even the tyres look brand new!
You know I was thinking the same myself but I came along the road then I was over the grass but yeah I see what you mean and it does get used![]()

Clean bike before my ride simple, enjoy the forum instead of being a house cat and finger pusher who complains about folk I thought this was a friendly forumThere's a suspicious number of bikes in the what did you buy thread that look like housecats. I wonder if some of them are ornaments!!
It is Rose Hip the seeds inside make very good itching powder, drop those down someone’s top they will be itching for a whileNot the gorse or whins as we call them . The thorn growing through it. Rose hip is the favourite guess of today.

No it was about the 5th ride out after the Hope parts were applied just wanted a Langdale pike backdrop in the photo to keep for myself but decided to post on here as I thought it might appeal to fellow mountain bikers, I love to ride my bike in all conditions but love cleaning it well tooSo my guess is this was your first outing on the new bike after the Hope bling conversion, car park is literally just out of sight 50yds to the left, and you found the perfect backdrop to get the camera out![]()
It’s fine I like a bit banter myself, just I have to defend now & again if I’m rightWe all get a bit of ragging on here . Part of the fun I actually enjoy. Didn't mean to offend you.

I think that when you are relatively new to the forum it's very easy to become too defensive ..from what I've read the comments which have offended you really were meant in a light-hearted manner..truth be told most of us like to start out on a clean bike .It’s fine I like a bit banter myself, just I have to defend now & again if I’m right
Nice backgroundI've been around there last year. Going to the lakes next week for two days and we have skidda and what I considered to be my most enjoyable ride in the lakes is the loop around coniston.

I wouldn't be on here if not for all the ribs I get.Keep posting. You’re bound to get a a few ribs poked when posting a perfect photo like that, especially as now we’re in Autumn, almost winter, and seeing a shiny bike in perfect condition is a rarity![]()
