My 3 mates have done it and I keep backing out of it. They all say the same as Dom. Got to get it done. Windy is a good rider to be fair

It was probably harder for me to walk my bike down it than if I'd ridden it ?
I agree, I need to man up and get it done
It is a bit scary though :ROFLMAO:

Do it , do it , do it - my wife is right I really do have a mental age of 13 :LOL:

I find a bit of goading from mates always ends in something spectacular either way

nothing like a lil peer pressure to force a man into the unknown and an act of complete death or glory status ?

Have you ridden the rest of the trail after it crosses the fire road?

Drop gap? Is it at the start of the last section?

It was an eye opener the first time I hit it, but it's fine.

It’s fine. My parents live up the road in broadwell and are the local funeral directors. It’s rollable apparently

Make sure that you take five other riders with you.
Two to act as your stretcher bearers and three to walk back two bikes each! :ROFLMAO:

I have taken the day off to get in the mood for the England v Germany game tonight ...
Cheers everyone..
C'mon ENGLAND !!
p.s...at this rate I may not be focused enough to see the match as Im pretty lightweight when it comes to drinking these days ..??
You could have given the table a coat of Cuprinol whilst you were sat there. And the fence.

Nah ..Bill ..
The table will shortly be "re-cycled" and replaced ..as far as the fence is concerned we leave all of that fancy painting lark to townies with nowt better to do ..
As the bro-in -law has a sawmill on his farm and supplied that fence 15 years ago we will just replace it when neccessary ..??

Stocks Brow, Tintwistle. Lunch was of the packed variety sat under the shade of a tree. The Bulls Head pub there use to amazing but haven’t been this century ?

This was all in aid of trying to find something flat to ride on and so I jollies off up to Woodhead Station off the Woodhead pass along the Longendale Trail. Needless to say there’s no longer a train timetable available.

34miles around 3000ft of climb and 55% of a 625 used. Now it’s beer o clock and time to watch Engerland Nil. Lets hope I’m proved wrong. Bring on Fat Les. “We’re going to score one more than you!. Na na nah etc”

Mrs levity and I had a chance to ride some trails in the Sawtooth area near Truckee, Calif., just north of Lake Tahoe. Here’s a cute sign at one trail junction.

Didn’t see any beavers or bears, and the sign may need to be changed to read “2 Bridges (mind the gap)”. Fortunately, it was easy to get by given the current drought.

A short ways up we took the Lower Big Chief Trail –

Starting out there was a nice view of Squaw Valley, site of the 1960 Winter Olympics. There’s usually snow left even in June, but not this year.

Some nice trail work across a rock fall –

A “skinnie”, one of many features on the trail -
