Orbea - Ability to support spares

If something fails outside warranty, fair do's, you have to pay for a replacement. But there should be a replacement available to buy. Companies constantly changing the design is part of bike evolution in a fast-developing market, but having to keep spares is part of the cost of development and design evolution. Selling new products for many thousands of pounds that have an effective design life of two years before they are fit for scrap is not a good plan for the longevity of the company. By means of media like this website, the word needs to spread that this sort of behaviour is unacceptable.

Didn't CUBE develop a reputation for frame cracking? It was all over the internet. I have no idea whether it was a deserved reputation or just a lot of hype by a few disgruntled owners, but you don't hear of frame cracking on CUBE bikes any more now do you?
Exactly the reason i posted this, to raise awareness. It’s unacceptable and unfair on the consumer

Isn't there any consumer law that governs this? Car manufacturers would not keep parts for ten years after the model stopped if they didn't have to do so. The EU must have been good for something. I know we are not in it anymore but Spain still is.
My friend got the bike on 0% interest free finance for 3 years so he is pursuing the protection under Section 75 with the finance company. Fingers crossed they may apply pressure with the supplier whip in turn should put pressure on Orbea
