Orange charger

Can't seem to find much in the way of reviews on the orange charger, anyone ridden both that and the surge? Guess most people just go with the longer travel, but as they advertise the charger as a E version of the 5 would that not be a better option for most of the normal UK riding?

My m8s got one, nice but imo no better than my e sommet at half the price.
Plenty shiny stuff on it tho.

Hi. I ride a Surge factory and my wife has a Charger. They are the same frame but my Surge has more suspension travel. They are absolutely fantastic bikes very tough and ride great.

Nice, one of each. What size it's that charger? Looks tiny next to the surge. I'm still undecided between the two. As you sa, they are both the same frame. But just thinking the charger would. Be more suited / fun for the area's I ride

Hi Sharpy52. Both bikes are medium frames. They really are fantastic bikes. I’ve ridden Orange acoustic bikes for years so when I decided to get an E-mtb it’s was a no brainier for me. I like the extra travel of the Surge but my wife’s Charger is great. She’s not quite as aggressive on the bike as me ?. I don’t think you would regret which one you buy too be honest.

My local LBS has just started stocking orange and have a 2021 Surge with EP8 for demo - have to say in the bike looks awesome, paint job is particular is top notch, its definitely one of those bikes that for some reason looks a lot chunkier in pics than in the flesh - had a bit of a play around with it and hopefully get to take it out for a test. Only problem I could see is the price, £7700!

Nice, I think from memory you are quite local to me.
Mine arrived 2 weeks ago, went with base spec and striped to frame and motor. I've sold off all the unwanted bits (lots!) and now just waiting on the few last bits to arrive and I have the spec I wanted (thats not offered from orange) for cheaper than an rs model.

Nice . . Balfes who are my LBS in Reigate (They bought out Finch Cycles last year and rebranded it) where telling me they can order the bike from Orange with a custom spec of what the customer wants within reason.
