I was just thinking to myself how quiet the motor was on my week old Levo comp...especially compared to my SL. I'm keeping my fingers crossed this happy state will continue
 
The amount of these motor failures is taking the piss, I'm on my 3rd motor within 3 months of ownership, I'd only done 4 mile on 1st motor replacement and it packed up, where's the quality control in that from brose?
I've no confidence whatsoever in the bike anymore, I just know it's going to happen yet again with it.
Half the battle is convincing your local specialized dealer there's something wrong with it when they try fobbing you off by saying, "they all make that noise it's normal, some are louder than others".......Total bollocks!
Those who live near Berkshire Cycles don't know how lucky they are.

Absolutely agree, my bike only has 180miles on it 👎 I love the bike it's great but really disappointed it's failed already, some folk have had zero issues some like yourself lots of issues,
Took the bike yesterday to my LBS so it's booked in for Monday, I'm away for work next week so hopefully all done by the time I get home 👍
 
Just wondering is there many failures so far on the. New 2022 models ?
I know the 2020-2021 were high

The cadence police are coming for you! I’m surprised they haven’t shown up yet to tell everyone they don’t know the proper way to ride an ebike. Please tell the cadence police to F-off when you see them.

Yes I sent my one to Berkshire in December for a frame on warranty . Two thousand miles on the second motor i had no problems with it . They got a error code on motor so changed it out because I live so far away , threw in a new battery cable as well. Takes a lot of beating that . All hail . Still confidence is not good as you say. Three weeks with a wheel issue now getting warranty hub from Hope fed ex deliver it Monday.

It's starts of really quiet then once it heats up and under load it gets super loud , almost embarrassed to own the bike , 200 odd miles only on the motor,

I post on this topic so often that my cell phone predictive texts my name HRR. Just dropped off my brand-new third motor for the exact same noise symptom. After warming up the motor is very noisy I'll try to attach the video that was sent to Specialized. They asked for me to turn down (with the mission control app) the acceleration and some other setting (opps I forget)
It made no appreciable in the noise.
Oh boy motor #4! Also "CB750stu" did you notice a reduction is power? I did!

Please Specialized use the Bosch motor and be done.

You hear a lot of issues, there are a lot of Levo's out there and now I hear a lot of problems with the Orbea Rise because there is starting to be the next popular model cracked frames bearings letting go soft where problems,they are all good bikes it comes down who has the best warranty
 
Warranty is so important.. I've owned a '19 levo from new 2,800miles covered x1 motor failure at 1000miles. swapped quickly with the specialized concept store(30mins away thankfully)
I really can't fault the bike over those 2800 miles- its really taken some abuse in the 2+ years i owned it. Constantly soaked and muddy nearly every ride.
it was maintained by myself to a high standard however... especially the battery charge strategy.
i bought the bike on-line and the warranty is upheld at my specialized concept store dealer.. you can't really do any better than that.
I've just bought a '22 levo alloy.. fingers crossed for its health!!
no matter though-the solid spesh warranty has my bike covered..thats why i purchased again.
i did consider other bikes in the 5.2K price bracket but nothing was floating my boat...
The launchpad app i find amazing in so many ways- far superior in many ways to anything else out there..
Its not an ideal situation-motors keep busting- but my experience has been overall fantastic..
The new battery door is a bit of a joke however!! no worries spares are available and cheap to replace should it disappear!!
What i also like is how quiet the Brose motor is compared to bosch motors- they squeal and really detract from the serenity of my ride.
everything has faults- nothing is perfect.. its how they are dealt with that matters i suppose..
Fingers crossed for my new '22!!

Zero problems from Specialised just took a week for the motor to ship as they were waiting stock. New motor was super quiet in car park. We will see.... Local shop (Ride Ettalong) were fantastic. Makes you want to send your business there. Motor arrived Friday so he stayed late to get it installed same day.

Can't really test it because all the local trails are closed. We've had the entire yearly average rainfall already and trails here can't take that. I've spent as much time repairing as riding for the last 10 weeks. Leeches are out in force....

I got new motor December just as loud or quiet as the other two were , and my hearing is not the sharpest . I only know one other Ebiker so nothing to compare it with. Just curious.
 
Took a wee video today to show my LBS , it was very quiet up until a couple of rides ago , booked in tomorrow for warranty on the charging door and motor 👍
