Had anyone the problem that the battery connection doesn't work realiably?
I now often need to remove the connector and press it in again with a lot of force to assure that the battery gets detected at motor start.
Maybe any advice on what to look for in terms of maintenance?

Hi !

Had the same problems. Also 1sec cut-offs during riding.

Same problems as with gen1/2 cables.

Could solve the problems good with flushing all contacts with Contact spray, but finally got a new motorcable after claiming this.
Best regards,

Chris

You can upgrade to the 54t 👍
It's not the same hub as the 240/350, so it's not quite as simple as popping is a 36/54T ratchet. You need to buy a retrofit/upgrade kit.

I never said it was simple, I said it was possible.

Hello everyone, a friend, with expert carbon 2022, like mine, cracked the carbon swingarm on the top left side, he immediately took the bike to the shop, where they disassembled the swingarm and sent it to Specialized Italia, where they subjected to an x-ray type machine, to check if the carbon was cracked or just the layer of paint and in the end it was the carbon and they didn't pass it as a guarantee but as a crash replacement for 350 eu and they mounted a black painted swingarm available as a spare parti.

That’s disappointing x2 and POOR customer service!

Looks like you guys are correct about being able to upgrade to the 54T. Thanks for correcting my mistake.

However, my Expert came with the Ratchet-LN internals so I do not think the above kit would be required. Just the 54T ratchets. That said, I have had terrible luck with the spokes on my rear and do not plan to dump any money into upgrading them.

I’m still on the fence about picking the new AXS stuff up. According to SRAM I’ll need 2 chains in different lengths since I swap the high/low position depending on terrain. The tech I spoke with also said I’d have to go back through the set up anytime I changed the head angle. It’s not a deal breaker if you never change any of that stuff but I do a good bit.
I love the current GX AXS combined with an Shimano XT Cassette, HG+ Chainring, and HG+ chain. You can absolutely shift smoothly under load and now that the AXS GX kits are on sale it seems like a good way to go.

After watching a couple videos about the new stuff by Peak Torque I'm a bit skeptical. Certainly would like to see some more long field reports before I'd consider jumping from the Sram/Shimano hybrid setup. Upgrading from a mechanical system to AXS then maybe it would be worth considering.

I also have an Expert and if that were the case, I would have already installed the 54T ratchets that are sitting in my other bikes wheel set and not being used.

Hi, thinking about swapping the shock to Float X2. Does anyone know if it comes stock with RX Trail tune on Levo? And if it does, will the regular X2 feel worse than RX Trail-tuned one?

I was told in a shop in Norway that all parts about guarantee would be black, so if you buy a bike you should think if that will be a nice replacement or not to your bike. Pick you bike color carefully...

Do anyone knows if s-works frame are lighter than other carbon frames?
I bought the cheapest komplet bike, dark silver(2023mod), and are going to changes almost everything.
The seller is a nice guy, so i think i can change it, its almost the same price.
He gave me a very nice price on this bike, 700 battery, and old mcu, so i have to put some money in
for the s-work frame, but i do it if it is some weight different. This is the S2. I want to get as lightweight as possible.
But not at ALL COST!

Put the Kashima goodies on it.

200mm transfer dropper on an S4.

That's as far as it'll go but needed a slight twist at the end and it dropped another 20mm or so. Pretty sure it operates correctly. Will see how I get on with it when I next ride it.

Why does my X2 knock as it breaks away? My performance and factory X2s do this. Pretty sure there's no play in the mounting hardware. Makes a slight bump/knock as it breaks away wherever it is in the travel.

Edit to add. After a ride the X2 doesn't make any odd noises

Gen 3 carbon frames are all the same, gen 2 had different versions, fact 9 and 11 I think they were, with different weights.

Are you saying no tools required and a 2 minute swap? If so, it’s different than what I’ve searched and read.

This 54T looks like a good mod, how well is it lasting for people? See that DT are doing hubs of 24T for e-bikes because of the increased torque so just wondering if these aren’t going to be strong enough?

That´s right. The alloy parts (seat- and chainstay) are black-matt and the carbon parts (seat- and chainstay) are black-glossy. I know it, because i had a crack in a weld of my chainstay.

TRUE ! On Ebike a 54T Ratchet is not recommended due to the greater engine torque, in fact a friend who wanted to try burned it. Furthermore, more "free movement" of the freewheell may help to not have Pedal Kickback and let the rear suspension work better. Like if it were from an Ochain-spider principle. :)

Quick 1st ride impression around my neighborhood after initial bike setup…WOW! Compared to my Kenevo SL, this motor is silent, like riding a Tesla.
