Levo Gen 2 Newbie ? Are these openings normal?

Are these openings normal?
The huge gap between the frame and the motor and also both bolt holes are open...
I surely hope this is the way it came from the factory. If it is there must be a ton of water and mud going in there...

Yep that’s how it comes from the factory. I took an old inner tube and some zipties and made a mud flap to cover the gap

Make sure there is a sponge in upper hole to prevent mud going in.
