New to this group I am a 67 year old, that’s been riding for about 12 years now. My son got me into mountain biking by gifting me a 1996 Gary Fisher Wahoo. I rode dirt bikes as a kid and started riding again in my early 50s. From the first time I rode trails on a mountain bike I was hooked so easy to transport, no gas, quiet, and a good workout. I had a knee replacement earlier this year and afterwards I had a hard time keeping up with the group I ride with so, I broke down and purchased a used 2022 Specialized Turbo Levo Alloy. What a game changer that was. Instead of trailing the pack on every ride and apologizing for holding everyone up I actually get to lead the group now. I still have 3 pedal bikes that I ride occasionally, a Timberjack a Surly Ghost Gappler and the old Wahoo. 34a43efbdd4f6517f2f78fe511347b44.jpeg

Hello from a former Gary Fisher Wahoo owner ( mine was a fully rigid bike ..deep purple colour scheme 💜) ..those were the days ! ..😉
Edit : Burgundy would probably more accurately describe the colour ..and prior to gifting it to my step brother I'd put some Marzocchi Bomber forks on ..
It was replaced with a bright yellow G.F. Big Sur ..which eventually was gifted to my Dad ..😁

Welcome. I've just joined last week and also 67. I've been a mountain biker since late 90's and got my first ebike in 2022. Like you said definitely a game changer.

I'm nearly 71 with two knee replacements and a hip replacement and can still keep up😊 Could be the servo motors in the joints🤣🤣🤣 Welcome aboard👍
