To save the company they really needed something that absolutely killed it, instead they absolutely missed the mark. Unfortunately this might be the end for YT

Maybe a new Pole instead?YT? No thanks. I don’t Trust them
Well, it's not exactly the bike for me, but I have to admit a lot of people could be having a lot of fun for €4500I have owned and loved 2 YT bikes (Jeffsy and Capra), and had great customer care from them. But after their recent bankruptcy, YT's next ebike would litteraly need to be the best bike on the market and at a lower price than most of the competition for me to even consider it.
Alloy frame, competitive pricing, curious on the weightWell, it's not exactly the bike for me, but I have to admit a lot of people could be having a lot of fun for €4500
Around 25kg:Alloy frame, competitive pricing, curious on the weight
Without pedals and a size small. Heavier than most if not all the avinox competition. I do like the value on the core 1 & 2 though. But Propain isnt much.Around 25kg:

Not sure what specs you're reading but the commencal is about the same or lighter depending the build. Lets say core 4 to the rockshox build. So hmm buy a commencal or a YT.....easy decision. They are definitely not the lightest, but they are more or less the same weight as similar specced alu bikes and in-fact lighter than the Commencal’s for example.

Its a shame about the weight over 25kg tubeless in a small is a bit insane. Was considering it untill i saw the weight. Deffo agree core 1 and 2 are great value if you dont mind a heavy brute of a bike. Tough to compete with the whyte karve and amflow pr pro though.Without pedals and a size small. That's what we expected this generation of avinox bikes to hit, but they pretty much all got heavier, e.g. full carbon mondraker isn't getting below 23kg.I'd totally consider one in carbon and with 600wh battery, which with a nice setup could get to 20-21k? (proper wheels, cassette, carbon renthal, oneup dropper, etc)
The comparison of the 2 bikes is illuminating. Looking at the specs and the delta in pricing, I have to say that YT has a compelling offering. I am still rubbing my eyes to make sure I read correctly that the similar weights are comparing a 800wh YT, to a Small frame and a 600 wh battery and less travel, unless I am missing something. As others already have pointed out, the Commencal weights are with a 600wh battery on the Size S unlike the YT with a 800wh, so you have to add +1kg on them.
The weights listed on the US site for Commencal say:
Rockshox build:
Weight
26 kg / 57,32 lbs
Minimum weight for M size, without pedals. Weight may differ slightly due to manufacturing tolerances.
Podium build:
Battery
AVINOX
600 Wh on S, 800 Wh on M / L / XL, Fully integrated main battery
AVINOX 508w Fast Battery charger
Weight
25 kg / 55.12 lbs
Minimum weight for M size, without pedals. Weight may differ slightly due to manufacturing tolerances.
Anyways back to YT.....I own a capra and I'm glad at the time(2023) they existed because it helped me get back into MTB with the price of that bike being so competitive. But this new bike is not for me nor could I even get one here in the states anyways. I opted for Propain
