Other New Trek Fuel+ TQ 120nm Dual battery

Someone has already dropped half/most the news so for the impatient,
New Fuel+ With 120nm TQ system with 600hw main battery
Will house the new extender(350or 325 cant remember) inside the frame(this will be where all the other motors take up space infront of BB)
Way smaller form factor(compared to avinox) - similar to current tq60.
All versions EX/mx/lx
Can be run with just extender in a LX park mode.
Carbon Frames were on display

Weights are the same or better than avinox/amflow builds.
Pricing is ment to rival the amflow.

neiloxford feel better, ? you should feel your blood pressure drop.

Absolutely not for attention, I dont care for that, All I wanted was to make people aware of Trek's new bike is coming.

and For the bosch owners, Update coming 7th july.

Another important detail to know would be the assistance percentage. That’s the main reason people love the Avinox cause of its 800% assist.

Correct, Most talk about the NM and wattage but forget the avinox offers that huge assist Multiplier.
Honestly, Im not sure if I caught that part.

The HPR60 is 200% assist. If this 120 motor is 400% that is a massive jump for TQ and puts them on par with other high powered motors except the elephant in the room. Not sure it would satisfy the Avinox crowd, so perhaps it goes higher?

I find 150-200% assist to be plenty so I’m not even sure how higher numbers would feel.

Tbh I could see them

So a modular battery system essentially? A 600wh main portion with a 300wh extender that can be added as needed inside the frame?

Any idea on motor peak power output?

Older Bosch motors are only like 340% I think. New ones are 600%? So if they get 400% I reckon that would be sweet.

If that’s true, I’m might be regretting getting my current Fuel+. I’m sure availability will be spotty for the first year but damn, I promised my wife I’d be set for many years after my last two bikes.

I’m beginning to think I should have waited but…. $5,999 for the EX9.7 WAS a good deal. The new bikes will be a lot more than that.

Perhaps this is a blessing in disguise. I can wait for a TQ 120 with built in eCVT “gearbox” now. 🤣

MSRP for the Big TQ appears to be higher than the closeout/current pricing for the EX 9.7, which carries on for another year.

Even knowing all this, I'm probably going with the HPR60 version.

I'm interested to see where this motor is compared with say the maxon weight wise. If they keep the motor around 2kg it's super impressive.

Not sure if they've gone to 120nm and 2.5kg whether it offers much more than the current crop

I rode my gf's new TQ60 just yesterday (I choose it and bought it) and If they can match that silence, ease of pedaling, natural feel, form factor, efficiency, etc. that is the class leading motor.

I LOVE what I'm hearing on the battery configuration.

Every tester prefers the 600wh batteries for handling reasons, Also, aesthetically, everyone prefers skinny downtubes. But we all know that for big all day missions and the power cranked up, 600wh is not enough. With the TQ form factor if they can get that 600wh even lower, then to top it off have over 900 wh for the big days, more than everyone else while placing that extender low in the frame cradle, that is absolutely the top of the heap motor system. Just needs to match 750 w & 120nm as the minimum.

My thoughts are that making new bike molds is not as insanely expensive as we have been told as these manufacturers seem pretty eager to spit them out pretty quickly.

I could see Pivot dropping the nearly new Avinox & the Bosch frame designs and replacing them both with a unified travel adjustable TQ system bike as early as 2027.

Traditionally we have always thought that we can buy the 'top motor system' and have the best for years. Those days are over. Shimano- CX-M1-CXR-M2S-Avinox MGU-GaBao- next isTQ120, Maxon, Mahle? The funny thing is that half of those systems are not even available yet and we already know about them. The new top dog M2s just came out in April, many are still awaiting delivery and it's already looking like yesterday's news. Crazy times we live in. They all work fine now, that's the good. But your day in the Sun of having the top system is now very short and we all have to get to where we just don't care.

Had a call on Friday to say an Email Will come through on 26th(AU) about new bikes.
No more information but Are they looking at replacing the Rail+ already?? We've sold Heaps of these and people are still asking for them despite the Avinox being there

Hopefully not DJI as Based on our customers I dont think they are Wanting to send their money to the Chinese and support the power wars.(not my opinion, except im not a fan of power wars either)
Any idea if new battery/motor works on exe?

NOS / last years tech at ~%35 discount, with a full warranty, continues to be the the best part of every new product release.

Will the remote still come with the two butloads like the current remote. Haha

I went into the local trek factory shop in the UK. They checked the computer and said over here it looks like I could order from December for January delivery.

They confirmed their system showed similar battery options to now, but double torque on the "hprx" motor.

They were surprised themselves as no one had told them

All these people eager for news on a new TQ motor.

Perhaps tempting, but seeing as the software and rider UI effectively has not moved in 3 years, I‘m not convinced the total package is competitive.

I can see the logic of keeping it simple for a light-assist bike, but it would have been nice to see at least some useful additions in that time.
