Other New Trek Fuel+ TQ 120nm Dual battery

Yes the Multiplier is what Gives the avinox motor system such capability.
If they turned that down to the industry normal of 400% the Avinox wouldve been "oh anther befang like motor"

What avinox really did was up the multiplier and give the industry a better form factor.

the power and speed is a marketing product of all of it.

I'd be happy to see the wattage left at 750w.

Obviously there’s a couple of folk in the know on here, but if I were to erm guess I’d say this new, currently imaginary motor, won’t be released / available until 2027, but perhaps pre orders before then 🤷‍♂️

I hope TQ make big waves whatever happens I think their product is one of the best, probably doesn’t get talked about enough if we’re honest

It’s definitely the best SL/lower power option, but mid power bikes just aren’t a hot topic making headlines. Clearly shock and awe from big numbers on paper are what garner all the attention, and the only big stat those bikes can claim is their weight. Low weight is awesome, but in general, it’s not as headline grabbing as Nm/Watts is.

I definitely think TQ has the best system for anyone in the market for a lower level assist and fully believe they could become a solid contender with Avinox if they can get into the full power size with a similar form factor and noise without adding much weight. I agree, they don’t get much attention, but it’s mostly just due to the market they compete in, it’s not the sort of attention grabbing thing people talk about.

It doesn't look like anything new is coming out here...
Still, it's amazing how few current bikes with the TQ HRP60 are available. I mean, they aren't even introducing any new bikes with that engine anymore. Unfortunately...

Brands are still way too scared to build up inventory after the post-COVID industry mess, so that's probably why.

The Norco Sight VLT TQ sold out reaaaally fast when it launched, probably because Norco didn't expect it to be that successful.

It also seems like a few HPR60 bikes have been pretty successful, like the Propain Sresh SL and the Norco Sight VLT TQ (especially in North America), like I said. Trek also sold out of a lot of Fuel+ models.

Mid-power e-bikes are still a pretty niche segment, but I think TQ is probably doing just fine between the eMTB market and their road/gravel lineup. Hopefully they can build on that and keep innovating.

I'm still pretty skeptical about all those rumors, though, because they go against the whole brand image and marketing strategy TQ has been building for years.

Well, By "out here" do you mean Germany or overall? because dealer pre-orders are nearly Available Here in Australia.
It's just not public due to multiple embargo's at once.

It's coming, be patient :)

Oh please, stop the games. If you truly have good info you can at least state the month you expect an announcement without releasing any damaging information. Or just keep stringing people along for the internet ego points.
Are you suggesting he puts his job at risk? Vs creating atleast a little bit of hype and anticipation? Especially with avinox bikes coming out an being available.. it may hold some people off.

I dont think hes stringing along, clearly seen the same presentation I did.
Atleast someone has said something so trek owners or people interested in newer ebikes are aware a trek is on its way aswell.

Be grateful. I wouldnt expect someone to risk their job because someone on the internet is getting impatient 🤣🤣

It’s just completely unproductive to go bragging to people you know something they don’t when you have no intention of sharing said information. Most mature adults who can be trusted with said information would really just stay quiet about it in the first place if they truly aren’t going to share it. Most people who tease people along this eventually do spill the beans and just enjoy the power position of knowing something others don’t, hence sharing that they have this coveted secret information in the first place. Like I said, stroking the ego, people just can’t help themselves, it’s human nature.

Exactly.

There is absolutely no point in doing that besides getting attention. Just to remind everyone, some people here were like: "100% I have info, TQ is launching a new full-power motor at Eurobike." Yeah... right. Did not happen. Same goes for Mondraker being purchased by Avinox and so on.

On the internet, you should really be careful with all these "insiders", especially when the info is that vague. There's always a chance Trek launches a new bike anyway, and then this guy will come back saying "I told you so." Yeah, no shit dude, a bike company launching a new bike, what a shocker. There is absolutely zero actual info here, just vague stuff that could apply to pretty much any "novelty".

If you have a decent relationship with your local Trek dealer just ask to see the promo stuff, they all have it already. The kid at my local Trek dealer gladly showed it to me, he said they’ll be able to do dealer orders this month.

Went in a trek dealer today he even showed me some pictures, he said the new tq with 120nm would be released towards the end of the year but they were due a formal announcement on the 9th of this month
The picture I saw it looked pretty similar to current fuel but motor area looked slightly bulkier
He also said slightly bigger battery than current and a range extender to take total wh to over 900

Cool, any idea on peak power figures?

I wonder if the SLs are going to cease to exist in the Trek lineup?
Last night I rode my full power e-bike on easy trails and really did not enjoy it.
My girlfriend will never venture on the difficult trials. I'm really glad that I got her a TQ60 that we'll pick up tomorrow. But also we got her a blowout price on it which does factor into the equation.

No my bad I should have asked more questions but was in a rush and wasn’t expecting them to give out info just popped in as was passing the store, he is going to view the new bikes in a week or so time so I’ll hit him up for more info once he’s been unless the details released on the 9th reveal all

Tbh if I was lighter/fitter/younger the tq60 would proberly be ideal for me but one with a bit more torque is what I need/want especially as all my riding buddies are on new full power machines

I was told by Trek chat that there will be a 2027 Fuel+ - unclear if the new motor is going into that, or a new bike - I suspect a similar new bike, with the larger motor, and a slightly larger battery due to the extra power.

Guy I spoke to said the 2027 fuels about to be released would be very similar to current but the 2028 fuel with the 120nm would be available towards end of this year
But he said the website he was looking was a bit confusing 🤷‍♂️

It doesn't look like anything new is coming out here...
It’s the July 4th Holiday in the US right now. Trek would not launch anything until after that.

It’s also Trek’s 50th anniversary so I’ll still predict a launch if something in July with availability in August.

Actually, it makes even more sense now that TQ has a strong platform in the mid-power segment with the HPR60.

Like I've said several times in other threads, it never really made sense for TQ to launch an HPR80 or HPR90, despite what some "insiders" were saying before Eurobike. It would have been too close to the HPR60, which has been widely praised and still is.

But launching something that's basically twice as powerful, so it doesn't cannibalize the HPR60, is actually a smart move.

Mid-power and full-power: 60 Nm / 120 Nm. That product lineup just makes sense.

Mid-power eMTBs probably account for around 20–30% of the market. It's still a niche, but it's a real market with customers who specifically want that type of bike (fit riders, MTB purists, first-time eMTB buyers, and riders looking for a lighter, more natural-feeling bike). It's also very much a premium segment.

if it's true a tq120 will make more sens to replace the current Trek Rail+ and the hpr60 on the fuel+

The benefit of the fuel platform is lower weight, and adjustable travel - my preference would be this over swapping motors in the rail - I would see no value in that for me

The fuel platform has received great reviews as an SL - if it had a full power motor, it would be my next bike in summer 2027

I'd consider adding the Slash+ as well perhaps and streamline the Fuel+ offering down to the EX only (as official builds while keeping the links and lower shock mounts available for the mad scientists).
