Thinking about buying a Vitus sommet , would I need to send my old motor back before I get a new one when my warranty runs out ? Or are they like Bosch don’t give you new one unless you send old one back ?
In two years time once your Shimano warranty expires, hopefully they'll be a lot more professionals out there repairing motors or selling re-conditioned ones on exchange, in what could be quite a large marketplace.
New replacement E8000 motors should also be considerably cheaper in two years time as they'll probably be legacy items by then.
Or you might just be able to swap in the 2022 E9000 or whatever comes next if they keep the same mounting system - though so far mounting systems seem to change as the technology advances and newer/better ways are developed.
Sadly I'm not a time traveller and my crystal ball internet connection isn't working properly this week so I can't say for sure, these are all just the presumptions of a madman.
