Went to the Intense website to try their new configurator and they have this pic of the new Intense Tazer T. Looks like you will be able to pick every single component for it which is pretty sick. Wonder if they are planning a longer travel version as this one looks to have 150mm in the rear and 160mm upfront. The original Tazer had 155mm in the rear and 160 upfront and the travel was too short for that bike.

Did you ever ride an older tazer?

I had an Alloy and thought it was superb, never really thought it didn't have enough travel though even in steep enduro stuff.

Was just so heavy and the Shimano motor was a bit meh.

New ones are gonna be Bosch powered and an SL version as well was in the works

Yeah I have the original carbon Tazer with 155mm rear travel that I've put just over 4K miles on and the rear travel is not sufficient. Just got a new ride with 180/170 and I can't stop smiling. Glad I didn't wait on Intense.

Look forward to learning more about this bike. Heard they will be launching in December. Glad it doesn’t have the same vertical shock link that every eeb has these days.

Guess it depends on the rider as well, some folk like to rely on having extra travel to make it easier to ride

Intense no longer exist is Europe now anyway but I don't think I'd of even considered one of they were with all the other options that are available

I actually know Steve and have seen the bike in person. It's pretty. Anyone who doesn't like the size of the downtube on the Levo 4 won't like this one any more. He says he likes the new Taser as much or more than the Levo 4. Really digs the Bosch motor and the frame.

First full picture of it that I've seen.

Nice! I’ve been keeping an eye on this. Really curious about this bike. I’ve been a long time Intense fan, had a couple of their bikes back in the day. They’ve made some weird moves over the years though but now it looks like they’re on a good path! This, the M1, the new Spider are all looking really good. Their “frame first” program is super cool too. Gonna be really curious to see if this bike will be available as frame only, and whether the battery is semi-removable 👀

I wonder if we'd be able to get it over this side of the pond again?
Still got an Intense in the stable, would be nice to have another.

I’m not sure why it keeps getting delayed but I know the first production run is pre-sold-out so you won’t be able to get your hands on it unless you get it from a dealer.

I just saw new pics of the Tazer from the Sea Otter. By the size of that downtube, looks like it'll accept the 800wh Bosch battery. Then checked their website and see it says coming 5/4/26. I kind of figured the delay might be due to a last minute switch to Avinox, as they've been teasing this bike for a while, but it seems not. Maybe they're waiting for the May Bosch update, or maybe something else entirely. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but at least it looks like the weight distribution will be good, and it should hopefully allow for easy battery swaps for those who want to do so. Did anyone at Sea Otter happen to catch the weight?

Good to see it finally announced but a little bummed at the lack of availability on the 29 front and rear option as well as the options for the 3d configurator. No options for coil shocks or Podium fork. Also surprising they would go with the EX wheelset as opposed to the HX. No wireless dropper option either.

I agree,no 29 option at launch. It's interesting that bike uses two different rear triangles. One for a 29 inch rear wheel and one for 27.5. It's nice they do have a frame only available.

Educate me. Why do you prefer the EX over the HX?
I like the internal design better. I’m not sold on the Hybrid being an improvement. One head scratcher is how the Hybrid version utilizes smaller bearings. Seems counterintuitive. Additionally, part of what I’m investing in with DT hubs is that parts are widely available. The Hybrid version’s different internals devalues that benefit somewhat.

I’m not steadfast against the Hybrid hubs but I definitely don’t prefer them over a traditional 350.

At the price they're asking I'm not sure who would pick this over the competition. I'm sure people will though.
