Hi all,
I said I would never do it, why, .... a bit old school, image, what ever,...... but now I am the proud owner of a Vitus e Sentier VR and boy what have I being missing?.... a few mates went the e route and I have joined them.
Apart from the obvious assist, the bike is long, slack and playfull, wanting to “hoon”at every opportunity. Mates and myself are all hitting the big 6 0 this year, and you know we are now riding trails we used to ride 30 years ago up in the Cheviots and not killing ourselves in the process. ( although we had a bar collide on a grassy downhill which saw 2 of us hitting the deck at about 20mph, not sensible I know, and some big aches this morning)
My Scott 29er and Whyte t130 c will still get used, but the Vitus is an incredible piece of kit (for a really good price) and is 1st choice at the moment.
I am so made up with this bike, can’t wait for the aches to go and get back out their.

The Vitus bikes are incredible value. I have the ESommetVR.
Do you guys ever ride Thrunton? I've always thought an Ebike would be brilliant there but whenever I go it's always with mates with normal bikes and I don't think they mix (for me anyway).

Used to ride in Thrunton a lot, destroyed my ankle there couple of years back and not really been back much since. It’s great if you like technicle stuff, but at my age I don’t really need the pain that goes with it. My son rides there often and loves it.....never rode there on an e bike, and I understand what you say, it’s a haven for standard mtbs
