Yup the thrill of New Bike Day wears off quickly, have you taken an AQ test?

Go Crazy Wtf GIF

You‘re sure to burn all this money for a Chinese motor without longterm experience? Don‘t get caught by the Marketing and not serious Social Media Propagandist without a real profession.

What you do not like about the Gen5? 😏 never experienced a better streamlined motor and software before.

To be honest, there is nothing better on the market atm, the Crestline bike can handle geometrywise all new bike releases for the next 5 years so if you switch or sell you might fool yourself as a marketing fool. ☹️
If you say Unno, I say NoNo.

Edit: what’s your price for the frame shipped to Germany? Suicide Taxes in that direction should not apply. I have more than 25 people who‘s licking their ass for that bike. PM please.

He states on the previous page that he prefers the race tune of 400% with overun.

I think he's jumping the gun wanting to sell before the 100nm/750wh emtb+ upgrade. That will likely provide faster times than his gen 4 race settings. Particularly when riding tech uphill. I agree with you, gen 5 is a step change in steep technical climbing. It kicks gen 4's arse. Its so smooth with way less wheel spin.

I am concerned with DJI reliability.

I do think the Bosch Gen 5 is an awesome motor. My issue is I ran my previous 3 bikes with the Bosch Gen 4 Race motor 100% in Race Mode and got very used to how it performed. The new Bosch Gen 5 tune is not as lively. I think the new Gen 5 Race motor will be amazing!

Sorry, don't want to deal with trying to ship frame only to Germany. Lake Tahoe is a nice place for one of them to visit. :)

Coming to the Los Angeles area anytime soon?🙂
Shipping to LA wouldn't be too bad. I still have the original Crestline box/packaging and would use a bike shop to package and ship with Bike Flights with insurance. Should be $400-$500.

I agree with you. I'm not really after faster times as much as trying to match or exceed the riding experience I'm used to. I know I'm complaining about something very minor that most others would not complain about. I was hoping Bosch would sell me the Gen 5 Race motor so I could install it in my new Crestline but found out they will not because the bike needs to be "certified" with the motor. I'm still loving my 2024 Crestline so can wait until fall for the new bikes with the Race motors to be released.

Fair enough. Someone else will be able to enjoy the hell out of that bike.

New bike days are the best! I think all of the new bikes coming out are awesome. Really loving the looks/performance of the DJI bikes. Actually like the new Specialized Levo. Super jealous of the 28mph mode. Would be amazing to ride 28mph on the street heading to the trailheads. For me the Crestline still checks the most boxes. The only box it doesn't check is having the slim downtube like the DJI bikes but I still think the bike looks amazing.

Here is a list of my past/current e-bikes. I ride 300 days, 5,000 miles and 750,000ft elevation per year so the bikes do get ridden. :)
