So Amflows are now almost the same weight as other ebikes... interesting.

Well the M1 system had ~300g weight saving at the motor, and 1-200g at the battery. The M2 with the removable batteries (+300g) more or less loses all those advantages.

For the PR:
  • Tyres could be downgraded a touch, but only really 400g total while keeping the bike trail worthy.
  • Cassette: I believe most models have a 550g cassette, could shave 200g+ easily, really wish SRAM made a dedicated ebike one under 250g (like their top end 11s).
  • Wheels: just guessing but usually brands put some ~2200g or more wheels, decent affordable alu wheels can come in around 1900g, a bit less for carbon but then you wheels are worth more than most of the rest of the bike...
  • Those magura brakes and discs are massive...
  • No idea about the seatpost, but I saw they desintegrated in at least one test, oneup V3 could easily be 100g lighter while most likely being better.

So here's the break down
22kgs for the PR.
Full carbon frame.
1100 watts peak power
125Nm of torque.
800Wh detachable battery.
Full SRAM AXS Electronic Transmission with Coastshift.
160/150 Fox suspension.
Brakes | Tektro TKD173, 4-piston, 203mm Rotors
DD rear tyre
EXO+ front tyre.
5 headset angle settings, allowing slackening up to 63.5 degrees
2 bottom bracket height settings.
4 chainstay lengths.

Then the kicker ....... Cost is AUD$6999 rideaway. Not another cent to pay. (About USD$5K rideaway, all taxes paid)

So if you were looking for interesting. You certainly missed a few interesting points ........ :ROFLMAO:

After changing to DHR/DHF tires, installing tubeless, and cranks (Sram XX), the weight dropped almost 1.2kg :)

With Wolfpack tires it could be up to 800-1000g while having enough tire for a trail/tour bike.

Today I went for the first ride with the Amflow PX Carbon and I noticed that on very steep hills in the stronger modes, my front wheel often lifts, tomorrow I will extend the chainstay, I hope that will help a little, but I am interested in which parameters in adjusting the assistance should I reduce to mitigate this effect?

Speed and power on one wheel! 😀

Out of curiosity, what height and size did you get?

Not with classic commercially available cells.

Currently theoretically a 400Wh REx at a weight of 1,5kg is only possible with similar(link) solid state battery tech specifically developed in the proper shape and dimensions for an emtb REx. Will leave the rest to your judgment...

LOL, now I’m waiting for this to trickle down…(groan)…

Anyone have the down tube external dimensions for the PR model?
Looks a little chunky from the pictures and expected as a result of the removal body, but exact dimensions would help to compare to what is out there from other brands.

Based on ebike-mtb.com actual measurements, the Amflow PR Carbon Pro (Size L) weighs in at 24.2kg (53.3lbs), not sure if that's with or without pedals.

Minute 1:50

Here it says for L without pedals less.. 22,7.

Looking at the RS800 battery dimensions 72x69mm(WxH), adding cca 1 cm extra for the frame thickness and some tolerance and some guess it's safe to say the downtube is cca 82mm in width and 79mm in height. It's probably a bit more in height to accommodate the locking mechanism and battery cover.

3:40 400Wh Rex

At around 3:40 the Amflow „guy“ maybe leaks the 400WH Extender for Q3 (if I heard it correctly).
I only need a range extender to my Amflow PL Carbon Pro. Everything else, I prefer the current setup (in PL Carbon Pro) to the new model. Even the M1's engine is more than enough for me. I'm just hoping for a range extender that will fit both the M1 and M2S.

How does one justify almost double the price of PX PRO vs PR PRO? Yes, better specs but double the price?! Are they trying to get money back for the costs of developing these new cylindrical cells?

I'm debating between the PX Base vs PR Pro. Not sure the slimmer look and minor weight reduction (not sure how much lighter it is), justify the price premium and loss of removable battery.

In the video he said that the 400Wh extender will be for amflow PX and PR. I guess the M1 is basically at its dead end now. What remains is of course the third party solutions.

The latest M1 update caused third-party battery extenders to stop working, likely with the goal of selling Avinox extenders for older models.

The Rangers from Spain and England definitely aren't working anymore since the latest update.

22,77 L without pedals but light on.

This implies 1kg more just the L size over the M. (the other user weighted 21.72 for his M size out of the box) Isn't it too much for just 1 size up? XL would be 23,7kg or so?
