Just got a new Gen 3 2022 s works turbo levo frameset. The shop said they did all the firmware updates. I also had them install the cranks & chainring. Anyway got it home and pulled it out the box & turned it on. When I turn the cranks the motor doesn't seem to provide any assistance. Is this normal? The bike is not built up. Do I need to install drivetrain, chain, magnetic sensor etc for the motor kick in? When I turn the cranks it sounds kind of rough, but it seems like the motor is not doing anything. When I press the walk mode button the motor engages and the cranks spin.... Am I doing something wrong. Thanks!

I would assume you need the speed sensor to be present to notify the motor that you are putting effort in, and it can then 'assist' - try putting the rear wheel / cassette / chain on with the speed sensor present and see if that works?

Yes, that’s normal, you‘re not putting any torque through the setup unbuilt on a work stand, so it won’t assist. If walk mode is working, all good.

Build the bike up, and ride it, and you’ll find everything works as it should.
