I bought this frame with Bafang M510 engine from one of the most popular sellers.

After several weeks of waiting (painting, completing the order, shipment), I finally received the products.

First I tried mounting the motor to the frame mount. What was my surprise when I found that the holes in the frame did not coincide with the holes in the engine.... When I put the screw into one of holes it cannot be done to others. I measure distance between holes in motor and in frame and they differs.

I tried many ways, had removed the paint residue from the mounting holes (as suggested by the seller), but the misalignment is so large that mounting the motor is impossible.

Have any of you had a similar problem (maybe with other manufacturers frames), or am I the only one with such bad luck?

At this stage, the problem has been reported to the seller, photos taken, videos recorded showing the problem. I am waiting for some information, but the season is running away.

Some pictures of the problem... after inserting the bolt into the front hole, the top center hole and the rear hole do not match the motor mounting points.
There is no option to insert front bolt and rear or middle bolt together.

There is an offset, slight at the rear and about 40% in the middle....

I made a video describing this to the dealer and am waiting for a new front frame. The worst part is that I am about 4-6 weeks longer without a bike because of this situation :/.

It looks like the problem occurred during welding, where the operator didn't install the motor mount properly and the welding pull off the mounting holes.
If it would be a result of mechanical failure, only the rear holes would have been displaced.

So - if you are ordering a frame, ask the seller to check that the motor fits the frame mounts before shipping.
It goes without saying that the two should fit together (if, of course, the frame is dedicated to a specific model of motor), but as this example shows, there may be a problem.

Putting aside this unfortunate problem, the overall build quality of the frame is really good. I hope the new frame will be as nice as this one, and will fit the motor and will arrive before ond of June :)

It is time to write a summary.
Thanks to the seller's professional approach to the problem, I received a new front part of the frame, which perfectly fits the motor's mounts.
Therefore, it is very important to buy from reliable sellers, because a mistake can be made by anyone, even the factory.

At this point I would like to thank Chili Shen and Tars of Changzhou Fieldebikes for understanding the problem, providing great service and sending a second frame. As I talked to them, they added checking this frame element to their checklist before shipping.

My bike is finished and I am very happy with it. The quality of the frame (welds, grinding) is really good. Geometry fits me a lot.

Is there anything you found out while building and share with someone thinking of doing it too? Any special tools?
Is the cable management and battery fixation good so no rattling noises or it needs to be taken care of? All ok after almost one year?

Well, if the geometry of this frame suits you, I would say buy it.
You will get a good quality frame with nice weld cuts.
The cable routing could be better designed as there is a tunnel where you have to route the cables. I've used foam tunnels to quiet the cables. Battery box is really well fitted, there is no any space to rattling.

You will not need any special tools. I've done about 700km, all is fine. I really like this bicycle.
There is only 2 things which could be improved:
1. for 29inch rear wheel upper link of rear triangle should be welded 10mm higher.
2. it will be nice to have mount for sidestand :-)

Nice to hear that all is so well-made. I'm planing a mullet setup and coming from a 26" bike - out of this sport quite some time :D
Any photo of the foam tunnels you used?
Does the frame come with any instructions like max force for the bearings or the cable routings?

Forget about the last question, I will figure it out. More, I am interested in the data of two things. The geometry specification says that the seat angle is only 71 degree and the chain stay length 47cm but from the comparison with kunlun Id say its the same where kunlun have 77-degree angle and 45,4cm for the chain stay.

Sorry, I didn't notice your question. I will measure these elements.

I have already pulled the trigger and ordered the frame so the length and angle are not that much needed. Maybe if you want to tell me more about the foam in the tunnel - did you have to pull out anything or was the foam applied to the cables before insertion...

I pulled it up with cables. There's not a lot of room for it, but it works enough and there are no weird noises from the cables.

I bought the roller foams from ali.

What dimension you used?
edit: Used it on brake and shifter cables or also the motor/display one?

I see in orders history that it was 6mm diameter, but the offer is no longer available. As I remember I used it on brake and shifer cables, bafang cables has connector with wider diam and there is no option to fit this foam. If you find foam with smaller outer diameter buy it (check inner diam if it will fit to cables), you'll have easier to fit it into frame.

Btw. I'm going to order the second Markhor Rocket frame, but size M :-) There is no other good aluminimum frame option for now :/

Thanks for this valuable info. I will check out for a thinner diam foam after checking the outer of the cables.
I think so too about it being the only alu frame worth buying. The hybridizer is to expensive and an XL would be nice for taller riders. The Rocksoul vpp is 3kg heavier than the Rocket so also a no go for non DH only riding.
One thing I also like to ask you is about the rear bearings. In a YouTube video review of the Rocket by user bikeday (Thai) he mentioned of the rear bearings to get loose but then again he says that his frame came with a wrong length rear axle and after fixing the axle the rear stopped to wobble but does not say if the bearings still get loose. The video is in thai and I used auto translation so a lot of possible mistranslations. Did you also notice this?

Yep, I saw this video just before my last order.
This guy publicated other video where he shows building process of this bike and (as I remember) I saw videos from the test rides.

I havent problems with bearing. I still have original bearings and about 1kkm on the odo. Despite of problems described in this topic I have no other issues.

Seat tube angle is 71 degrees, i checked it. Bikecycle is standind on 2x 29 wheels. When you go with mullet angle will change

Good to hear there is no bearing issue. You measured the effective seat tube angle or the actual one?

71 degrees It's actual.
I checked twice the effective angle and it seems to be 77 degrees with 29er. WOW :) I was sure that this frame has effective seat angle as the manufacturer brochure says - 71 deg...

Im happy with this frame, it suits me well, it is comfortable during tourist trips. It could be more effective on sharp corners, but the wheel base and chainstay is high.

So my assumptions were right. As for the wheelbase and chainstay I would assume that it can climb like a goat :D Mullet setup for me so a bit better in tight turns I guess but the comfort is the most important. Im 189cm tall so this big bike will suit me well I hope.

I'm 182cm. This frame has a not very long Reach and top tube (compared to dengfu frames for example), I suppose you will need to fit a longer handlebar stem to suit your height.

I'd also try the mullet configuration.
I've never measured it, being sure that the effective angle is 71, but if it's 77, the bike will still have good geometry in the mullet configuration.

Will report when I get it. When I ride calm I prefer a more upright posture so a bit shorter reach is good and I think it is not that short as I am coming from a pre 2005 bike geometry. If hard riding I stand (hardtail user till now) and I think that in standing position I can adapt with legs and hands to the right balance. Will see and cant wait to try it.

I think you will be happy with it, give your feedback when you will receive it. I'm going to order second frame and built new bike form my wife. Hope she will like it too :-)

Can you share the price you get? I asked a lot around alibaba and got the cheapest for frame set with battery 840wh and m560 for 1500€ shipping and customs included.

Cant find anything less than 6mm. As the fitting inside the frame is so tight than maybe something like this 1~50m PET Braided Cable Sleeve Heat Shrink Tube Insulation Flam Retardant Shrinkable Wire Wrap Sheath Protection Cable Organizer - AliExpress would be enough to stop the cables from moving and just enough of dampening as its fabric like or a tape like this Electrical Insulating Tape Heat Resistant Harness Tape 9/15/50MM Car Cable Harness Wiring Loom Protection Waterproof Tape - AliExpress 13

There could be one problem with cables from motor to display. Depends what version of this cable you will got it could be a problem with run through the path int the frame (above batt). Cable with connector in the middle should fit.

Im getting the bike- frameset already assembled so that cable will be already in the frame I think.
This what I posted recently.
