Hi, looking to buy used S1 specialized e MTB
Welcome to the forum,
@MLK. A quick question before diving in: S1 in Specialized's world is a
size, not a model name. So when you say "S1 eMTB", I'm assuming you mean a Turbo Levo in size S1. That's an important distinction, because what you're getting is determined by the
model (Levo 4, Levo SL, Gen 3, etc.) and S1 tells me you're on the smaller end of the size range.
A few things worth knowing: Offering a size S1 for a full-power eMTB is a fairly big deal, and
Specialized made the S1 aluminium-only since the alloy frame has higher production volume, and the S1 accounts for a pretty small portion of total sales.
That means used examples are genuinely rare. Don't hold your breath for a flood of listings.
If you're looking at a
Gen 3 Levo (2022-2024) in S1, that's the 2.2 motor (90Nm/565W), 700Wh battery, mullet wheel setup. Solid bike. If it's a
Levo 4 (2025), you're looking at the 3.1 motor -
810W and 105Nm on the standard model, with an 840Wh battery. Notably, the S1 gets a 150mm fork rather than the 160mm found on S2-S6.
On used pricing: a Gen 3 S1 is going to be hard to value precisely because so few were made - expect strong residuals simply from scarcity. A year-old Levo 4 S1 would be roughly £4,000-4,500 depending on condition, based on the £5,199 alloy entry price.
What generation are you looking at? That'll let me give you more specific advice on what to check before buying.
