Hey all,
Not new to MTB but new to ebike. At 49 I started to accept the inevitable and began researching ebikes. Quickly came to find that weights had come down, ride quality had come up and my interest was spiked. Next minute the model I seemed to be gravitating towards, the Orbea Wild, came up with a hefty discount. I must've blacked out, because when I came to I'd purchased one, upgraded a few squishy bits to Fox Factory spec and was totally smitten with this beast.
Ride time on it has been a bit limited, but what I've done I've reallyoved. It's such a weapon. Happy days.
Anyway, I'm Jarrod, I'm in Victoria, Australia and I ride a lot in Bright, flow, enduro and dh trails mostly. Its nice to be here, looking forward to hearing stories and learning stuff as I go. Cheers legends!

Yeah thanks! Its actually an Orbea custom colourway. The stock colour is a kind of dull silver with purple over the motor/bb, but this one was a custom colour selected by Orbea for something to do.. so quite possibly the only one of its kind! How cool's that!

Nope. My experience with the trails I ride is that a coil is the way to go. I was just saying today though, it something fun I can experiment with, especially if I'm riding some less rowdy, more flow oriented stuff. Throw the air shock back in for a bit more pop. It feels awesome with the coil though. My normal bike is a Transition Sentinel, that thing is transformed with a coil.
