Exactly what i did.. Bought the Shuttle after riding Levo and shuttle side by side for a day and honestly the pivot imo was just more fun to ride. Levo very planted, and may be great for certain types of riders, but for me, the pivot won hands down. in my country it was 5K discounted at xmas time ( i bought the XO edition ) and the Ride/SLX is currently 2k off with upgraded battery. Mojave is a great looking bike and the colour i went with... do not regret buying it even with a gen 5 motor just released. I would however like better brakes than the XT and i had to get the dropper serviced but that was hassle free and fixed all issues.. love the bike

Kntr you do know that a boost battery is availible for the Levo right. I have a 23’ gen 3 and a
252w bottle boost battery helps out on the longer rides.
Works in tandem with the main battery, either 500w or 700w.

a rise re battery weighs a bit more than a full bottleWouldn’t that mess up the weight distribution?
Normally you want the weight to be as lower to the ground possible, thinking of the current levo, if you remove the battery weight and put it on the bottle cage that would make it unstable
Specialized has just started promoting "new" tires including Butcher and Eliminator tires at YT but at least I don't understand if there is any difference from last years tires but at least I guess this is a build up to promote the new and amazing G4.

As for the extender battery, I would like to see:
* Larger than 250Wh if the motor power and main battery capacity has increased, maybe in the 300-350Wh range
* Wired in parallel so that max power is available all the time
* A more sturdy mount than a bottle cage - with an adapter for water bottle when extender is not used
* A 2nd water bottle mount when extender is used.

The gen 3 and 2 has stood the test of time and now 3 years later is still rated in most revivers eyes as a top 5 EMTb for 2025

The 252w boost battery that I use barely fits into the bottle cage area, anything longer in this profile won’t fit.
Battery tech is allready using 21700 cells which are the most efficient, think Tesla, there are other battery types being developed but are not currently availible for these applications.
A separate cage mount came with the battery as you have to mount it from the side/top because of the resevoir pot on my Fox Float X shock. Never had any issue coming loose on a ride and fits securel.
The battery has to be used in parallel as the Levo’s display and software need to see voltage from the main battery from what I was told.
Parallel battery connections don’t have any bearing on max power being used that only increases your range.
The max amperage draw is controlled by the controller settings.
Another thing to consider is supposedly the new Levo is going to a 48v system instead of the current 36v. Kinda like the current SL bikes.
So for an example a 700w 36v battery uses (40) 21700 cells.
Now the same size battery of 700w at 48v would use (52) cells. Which would of course add to the overall weight.

Are you sure that was the new Levo ? I thought they were just riding the new SJ15 and I remember seeing a 36.
Is Fox also updating the 38 like the 36 ?

One thing that is worthy of consideration is what will become of the Levo SL?? While we all feel the new Gen 4 Levo will blur the lines with lower weight, more power, better battery integration and extender, etc, etc,- then what will become of the Levo SL? Is this not a really special bike if you could just get that little motor to push out some say 80nm of power? Does this not become the go to Trial Bike for the future? Adjustable Geo, Battery Extender, new touchscreen, and lighter? I think a nicely revised SL is possible with more like the Amflow could be the ultimate trail weapon, while the Levo can be the Enduro king. Don't be surprised if the Amflow has caused a Stir within Specialized and the industry. Oh, let's not forget, TQ?? Might that motor come into its own with more power? The arms race of the cold war has begun, lol.

A new SL with a 70 Nm motor and a 500 W battery + 250 W extender, while remaining very close to the current weight, with a 1 kg margin, could become the ideal choice for cyclists who pedal harder. Those of us who reject 100/120 Nm and weights over 20 kg.
They were definitely the new Levos, the pics were up about 5 mins before the post was deleted. The 38 is getting the same update along with the new X2 that resembles the genie shock.

It's nice wishful thinking from the users' perspective. I own (and love) the gen2 SL, put a Cascade link + coil shock on it and it's enduro enough for me to hit anything with it. But the battery is the only issue for me (I don't need more than 50Nm) - if I want good 4 hr rides I need the extender and a lot of eco+trail pedaling. If the internal battery was 500Wh+ that would remove the need for the range extender for most of my rides - so the weight penalty wouldn't even be a penalty. Sure a more powerful motor for those punchy climbs or when joining full powered bikes would be great but for me the battery is the main limiting factor.
Other than that, the bike weight/geo/handling/spec is perfect.
It is already keeping an embargo on a few unreleased models or builds of models already released.

That thread is not was it was anymore, spy pics on ''important'' stuff are now getting deleted pretty quickly.
There’s some stuff that gets through the cracks though. There’s still a pic of the Levo with the vivid/Zeb up, it’s a pic of one of the Spesh mechanics working on a DH bike and the Levo is on a rack in the background. I can’t remember what page it was on, I think around 750 or so but there’s a ton of pages to go through.
I’d love to be able to go to Sea Otter this year, it should be a really good show with all the new stuff that’s getting released there.
Except the 48v battery would actually be well over 900Wh if using the same cells...
Or you could get the similar capacity using 39 cells (13S3P) so a thinner downtube is possible.

Surely someone else will just create something new in the way of an App. History will repeat itself.
No one has so far for any other bike other than Specialized with Brose. So, maybe not.
