My last one whistled when climbing for about 3 weeks , then one big squeal of pain and it died . Only 7 miles from home on road . Good luck .
That sucks, and I also worry about breaking down miles from home. Did your motor make a whistling sound like this? Turn up the volume high on your computer, because some people told me that they could not hear it, but I do. Here: Vocaroo | Online voice recorder

Yes same but mine was slightly louder. I was a bit more careful where I rode .

Someone on a Facebook group mentioned yesterday, that Spesh has begun delivery of the Gen. 4 to dealers and the reveal should be soon, possibly in April. Can anyone confirm?
Yes the ships just left Taiwan Friday

My friend is a Specialized dealer and he says the Gen4 will be released in April. That’s all he knows for sure. His rep did not give him any concrete details about anything, not even pricing.

What is the pro Modell? This is Not the SWORKS?
Its been like this in the past years:

- Standard Alloy with no name extention
- Comp (in Carbon and Alloy)
- Expert
- Pro
- S-Works

While I found the Expert to be equipped good enough, I didn't like the clear coat over raw carbon colour which was available beck then, so I went for the Pro.

I was told $14,000 for the S-Works and $12,000 for the Pro, these will be the only 2 models available at launch.

Very likely, I don't expect them to be cheaper than the outgoing model.

Don't remember the pro but I'm talking 2019 . S Works then expert I was steered away from S works from dealer and upgraded forks and brakes , happy days

I usually buy the Pro. It’s essentially an S Works w/o an electric dropper and minor spec differences. . I’d be ecstatic if the Gen4 pro is only $12k. My first gen3 pro was $13k in May of 2022. Everyone complains about what a rip-off bikes are but to be clear even with 20%+ inflation, Levo prices were adjusted down 13% in 2024.

It’s my understanding that [initially] only the pro & s works models will be available.

In case anyone is interested, the Specialized models from cheapest to most expensive are as follows:
- Alloy
- Comp Carbon
- Expert
- Pro
- S-Works

People seem to have different experiences with Specialized dealers. I have so good dealer that it's main reason to buy Specialized. I had only two warranty case, motor and freehub. Both we handled immediately without questions. Motor wasn't even broken, but there was clear evidence that it will be soon (sprag clutch...?) and freehub I maybe broke myself when I dropped it and they changed it anyway, even that I told what happened :D

Strange isn't it, i had a cracked chainstay and sent it into a Concept store here in the UK. Came back with a new battery and motor without even asking for it. Replaced under warranty, about 4 months out of warranty.

Not really or unusual it's just Specialized policy.

If you ride Santa Cruz or Norcal, you have likely already seen it. Most of the rumors are true. Based on specs, it kills all other ebikes aside from it being 150/160. Just don't anticipate a good looking bike because the aesthetics are horrible. It looks nearly identical to a gen 3, but the pregnantness moved more to the downtube....

So not like a S.L.

So, assuming you saw a Gen 4, courious about the model you saw (i.e. S-works or Pro), color rear shock. Did you observe that the sidearm has been deleted along with the hump?

They have removed the sidearm from everything else so I assume it'll be gone from this.

Here is a link to a Canadian site which provides some interesting details. It mentions the 120 NM feature built in to the SWorks only model ( as has been mentioned previously in this forum). If true, it may imply that this is achieved through software or perhaps a separate boost controller/mode applied to the same base motor?

That just reads like a ChatGPT summary of what’s been posted in this thread.
