XTR coming December,XT a bit later.
Full Wireless ala Sram, also new brakes, same cassettes as today.
Supposed to be real good and priced below Sram.
(IMO) typical Shimano, coming 2nd to market after letting another company do the initial new product marketing.

5 years is hardly initial :) It's actually crazy it took them so much time to have a wireless system.

I heard that Sram had a patent for that? that's the problem with this stupid patent law.
Companies are now patenting every stupid thing (nothing revolutionary), blocking others from doing the same.
Like, let's add that easily available RF/WiFi/BT/radio chip to this device and patent it as a ground-braking invention.
 
Can’t say a gen 4 levo excites me. Having bought a gen 3 recently and then demoing a pivot shuttle am I’ve realised the levo is heavy, hard to manoeuvre, challenging to keep on track. And sadly just not fun. The pivot ( I’m not a pivot fan boy ) just feels better all round for my style of riding and I’ll likely upgrade to the pivot soon. Plus specialized have been a bit useless when it comes to help trying to tune the bike to get it riding well. Stock and supplies have been poor for a long time. Colour options are so limited ( unless you want black ). They persist in not allowing tcu upgrades for gen 3 owners without the mastermind controller ( and that’s purely a software lockout they could resolve ). I can’t say at this point I’d feel much desire to buy a new specialized bike.

Shuttle am 2024 model. Xo pro ( middle model ). Size medium. My levo is an alloy 500w s4 with upgraded zeb ultimate 160mm , super deluxe ultimate, trp dhr evo brakes etc. carbon vs alloy I know is not a fair comparison but huge difference between the two bike in my subjective rating of “fun” :)
 
I do not think this is fair, we all hope the new Levo will be just better and lighter and it is possible.

I am curious about the LT Levo which should replace the Kenevo.

Let’s see also what (if) the new brose will do, not sure this will be great honestly. Belt has its charm, without I guess I would prefer a Bosch gen5.

You can easily upgrade to the mastermind TCU, not sure why your dealer is saying you can’t. I went the opposite and downgraded to the older TCU so I could do away with the handlebar remote, it took my Spesh dealer like 5 mins to do whatever changes in the software that needed to be done.

I think the issues you’re having with the weight is just the carbon vs aluminium frame. On paper the Shuttle AM Pro is a pound heavier than my Levo Pro, on the scales my Levo pro was almost 2lbs lighter.

Suspension wise I’ll agree, the stock set-up wasn’t very good as it bottomed out way too easily. I started with the cascade link, that made a huge difference. I’m now on the Cascade long link kit with a 230x65 shock and bumped the front up to 170mm. I own a ton of bikes and this is probably the funnest bike I own. Did you get the generic tuned RS SDU or the one that’s tuned for the Levo? There’s 2 different part numbers, the Levo specific tuned one is actually pretty good.

Umm not sure how you changed tcu that’s well documented specialized don’t support it.

The levo I have with upgrades is 56 lbs. 25.5 kg ( with pedals ). :( I agree the weight is possibly the cause but not much I can do to get it down now.
 
Strange, Levo is on the light side of full power bikes (23kg). And what kind of tuning are you talking about? Motor tuning is way better than Bosch.

If you’re running the stock forks, then switching to a Domain or Lyrik etc will save you quite a bit and make the bike a bit more nimble.

The 500Wh Gen 3 S4 Alloy I have was 23.5kg with a Lyrik fork.

Spesh doesn’t “officially” support it but it’s easily doable. I got the idea from Brink as they did it to one of their shop bikes. It’s a simple few clicks in turbo studio and that’s it.

i9 has some good sales going on now as well. The Enduro S Alloy is 343g less per set for a similar price point. I've been happy with my set so far.

Edit: Just realize the price point isn't all that similar, I had seen someone post a carbon set from Hunt on Facebook that was more in line with the i9 pricing.

Sounds a bit weird that they would match the exact torque spec of the amflow. This would confirm the delay is due to testing of higher power output of the motor via software.

The specs would make a lot of sense and match what many of us were all speculating. They were seemingly ready to launch a month ago, had all the invites out, and then did the mysterious pull of the launch with zero info about why, right after Amflow sent shockwaves with their release.

Bosch didn't seem to mind, but Spesh must have deemed it too risky to their business to release anything that couldn't at least hold its own against the Amflow. Annoying it's going to take this long to see though.

I doubt that any dealers in the world know anything about when the G4 will be launched because it is a well kept industry secret. The only thing that can be true is that top models come first.
 
With all due respect to Amflow, I don't see Specialized delaying their halo bike 6 months just to test Brose (or any other motor they chose) for higher nm to match Dji's specs.
If the gen 4 Levo will be light,up to date electronics,modern battery and good geometry/suspension, they would sell like hotcakes even with "only" 90+ nm.

They main reason for the delay that I know is overstock of current Levos.
 
I know a certain shop owner that’s best mates with a Specialized sponsored rider, I’ll see if he can get any info out of him.

well... can't agree....Bosch is quite dumb, there is nothing you can set, new versions allows you to set +1,+2 etc on Eco .... still very basic.
and Levo allows you to setup geo in a few options, + you can put 29" if you want.
For me it's one of the best bikes, handling, geo and settings adjustability. (however I don't compare it to light/mid emtbs).

maybe you bought a bike that it's just completely not for you? I don't know what your expectations were.
 
Honestly, I rode the DJI Bike, it is nice without question, but being honest I am not using that much power. It's more like motorcycle.
I stick with my Levo G3, the geo is spot on, that's what count's.
 
I doubt that any dealers in the world know anything about when the G4 will be launched because it is a well kept industry secret. The only thing that can be true is that top models come first.
IDK if that's the real reason (the Amflow launch) but I also heard unverified rumor from someone in the know. The launch announcement was *definitely* scheduled for this November initially (verified with many insiders) but now it seems there are more and more April/May 2025 rumors. If I had to guess I think it's not about updating to match competitor specs (since when did that stop Spec' from launching underpowered bikes??) but probably the massive inventory that's still available. Prices slashed across the board and bikes are still available, my guess is they don't see a point in rushing into a winter launch. Possibly they use the extra time to update some specs, but I doubt it will be the most powerful out there - for sure it will make the most splash!

Totally agree, my “750W” M560 can put out 1250W peak on Boost and it’s a stupid amount of power, you’re not biking at that point. 500W in Trail mode is plenty for me get up just about any hill and still get a workout while having some fun and that’s already in the realm of all the other current motors. I do like having good torque, so if they could get it around the 100Nm that would be seen as a big hit I think.

Have a set of I9’s on my meat powered bike, had to buy a ti axle because I broke 3 rear axles in alloy. If you plan on running I9’s on a e bike, plan on a axle replacement.

I'm sure Specialized knew Amflow was coming just not all the exact specs and when it was released they decided to make som upgrades but doubt on NM because that is not the most important to make a top of the line bike and in the meantime they can empty the stock as much as possible selling bikes with loss.
Specialized has always been the bike other brands look at and try to beat but no brand have to day better support and that's mega important.
Who ain't excited to see the G4 whenever it's available?
 
why everyone talks only about DJI? there are other systems as well, Powerplay has ~108Nm for example and it's on a market for many years ....
