You guys want a 800 battery and a downtube that looks like your cromo hardtail. ;P
There are trade offs and side load is another one. not crazy about the look but better to keep the lower part of the bike sealed and solid. At least one side looks clean.
I am riding a bike with a huge full size battery(800) opening on the whole bottom side of the downtube for the last 2 years, never ever had problems water getting in there in excess, what did, drained out where it's supposed to(drain hole at the bottom).

Sorry but If someone at Spech had given more thought about battery building, a slim downtube is indeed possible, even with 840Wh.

and Imo the new Bullit is worth the wait ✌️

Of course it possible but without the removable battery and with no swat storage... Levo SL is the perfect example.

Switching from a class 1 to a 3 has been availible for quite awhile if you know where to look.
My 23’ levo was deristricted 3 days after I bought it.
Just rode my local bike park today (Temecula) and got 8 good runs in from the top with just my 700w battery and ended up with a little less than 20% when I coasted back to my truck.
Didn’t even need my extender as I rode for 2 1/2 hrs and got in 26m and 3.8k elevation and was done for the day.
Gonna ride again manana and can’t wait to read the 10+ pages of posts of all about the good and bad of the holy Gen 4.
Bring it boys.

Right, well it's been 8th April here for over 11 hours now and I still haven't seen a new Gen 4 Levo.
Nor have I seen a modular battery or Swat Box.

So it’s not being launched on the 8th then.

It’s being launched in some foreign-Johnny Timezone where it’s Spring and winter is not coming.

I see how this works.
So racist. Picking on the Southern Hemisphere again…just because we have sexier accents and cooler wildlife.

My Levo is here. I saw it. It’s very well packaged. The bike looks really good. I guess you could say it has a clean aesthetic. I got the glacial blue color way and it’s the type of paint that changes color depending on how the light reflects off it. I love the remote for the new Fox dropper. The screen is next level and the side load battery is fine. It’s very well integrated into the bike. You can’t even tell unless you’re looking for it. It’s a sturdy build. The charger is gigantic, a little flatter than the old one but 2 or 3 times the size. The bike did not come with more than 1 battery.

Hi everyone,

As CEO of Specialized, I wanted to personally reach out to this passionate and knowledgeable community with an important update regarding the new Levo 4.

Today was meant to mark the official release of a bike we’ve been working on with tremendous care and excitement — the next leap forward in our Turbo Levo line. Unfortunately, due to recent geopolitical developments — specifically, new tariffs introduced under current U.S. trade policy — we’re forced to delay the release of the Levo 4 until the end of the year.

We know this isn’t the news anyone wanted to hear, and I assure you it’s not a decision we took lightly. These trade changes have created unexpected constraints on our supply chain, and rather than rush the process or compromise on quality, we’ve chosen to stay true to our standards and give this bike the launch it deserves.

What we can tell you for now: the Levo 4 is the most capable, intelligent, and rider-focused e-MTB we’ve ever built. It redefines integration, handling, and power delivery — and we believe it sets a new benchmark for trail performance.

To everyone here on EMTB Forums — your input, your passion, and your feedback continue to inspire and challenge us. Communities like this play a vital role in shaping the direction we take as a brand, and we’re grateful for your support and understanding during this unexpected delay.

We’ll share more details in the coming months. Until then, thank you for riding with us.

All the best,
CEO, Specialized
Surely this is a troll account? Well played sir well played

Well?????? How was it 🤓
Well I put a deposit down ;) but for a bike not really setup for me, ridden in a car park. Good. Very well finished ad the SWAT storage in front of the battery is cool. Held in by magnet with a reassuring snap.

I think we can assume the reviews are going to be brilliant. Then in 12 months, when the “the next best thing“ is launched, the flaws and weaknesses will be retrospectively narrated.

Guess we will know in a few hours if there is anything revolutionary about the gen4 or if it's just bike hype by a struggling industry. Will be keen to see a few reviews by testers.
Let me spoil the surprise based on everything we have seen:

1) Fact: Close to the top, but not a leader in any category (weight, power, battery capacity, looks etc etc)
2) Prediction: Incredibly positive reviews with barely any mention of the terrible reliability of outgoing model.
3) Guestimate: One of the worst value from a component specs to price out there, which as usual will lead to owners fiercely defending their prized posession.

Sincerely,
Someone who could very well get one if they release a 170mm version and there is a sale.

Just seen a Blue S works, it looks very very good definitely passed the look back test.
