Seen the review for the new Ari and it has a similar down tube. I just think it’s a given that with this type of battery you’re going to have a fat down tube.

I think the ARI bike is going to be a great bike to take on. If Bosch would just get a decent display build (forthcoming) then at $6700 USD for a Carbon complete build then it's kinda crazy how Specialized will want more like a few $ thousand more for the Base Levo Carbon. Heck, you can get this frame for $5700. Yikes. Or you can get the Gen 3 Levo frame for $3500, add the Cascade link, and call it a day with some custom bit and parts of your own. It's getting more interesting.

Me too but the law also determines where it is unfair and outright wrong

It will ride just as good as anything that’s why styling is important. The seat tube area is really awful, the side loader is terrible, it’s heavy and it’s still definitely pink.

What is really horrible in this photo are the centerline discs. How could they do this? How sad...

Was on my list, but dont want downgrade to 600Wh battery although 70-80% of time it will be enough.

Why then a G4 Levo and not the Vala? What is the big advantage of the G4 Levo in comparison?

Just out of curiosity and because I will decide between Levo (with changed travel) and Bullit.

there is 250wh extender for those 20-30%
I must admit that Vala grows on me, at the beginning I was sceptical since it not that different on paper form Levo gen3 but eventually I realized that I wanted levo gen4 to be more like Vala

Little things.

No screen on vala.
No output to my garmin on vala.
No bigger battery on vala.
Power output on Levo.

All but one of those things will be remedied soon, nothing you can do about the battery but add the extender.

Ah this is most interesting: does it mean that the Vala cannot be linked to Garmin Edge eg 1030 delivering ebike data?

But if they up the power, the battery issue will be exacerbated.
You’ll end up with the range extender on all the time. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Correct. I know everyone jokes about deal breakers in this thread. But. It’s 2025. Why can’t Bosch send ant+ to a garmin or similar ??? My 21 Levo did it. I had no idea other e-bikes couldn’t do it until I demo’d the vala.

Because they have their own -very limited compared to Garmin- proprietary platform that provides, for a fee, a Flow+ subscription to have all the data available. I agree with you that opening up to third-party devices would be helpful but ... how many would do the Flow+ subscription 😉?

You guys want a 800 battery and a downtube that looks like your cromo hardtail. ;P
There are trade offs and side load is another one. not crazy about the look but better to keep the lower part of the bike sealed and solid. At least one side looks clean.
