Levo Gen 2 Levo changing mode on its own

I was riding with a friend today who has a two year old turbo levo on its second motor. He says it has started changing power mode on its own - will change to Turbo and then won't change back. I guess it is a problem with the controller - at least an easy fix (I had to replace mine as walk mode didn't work from new. Is this the most likely problem or could it just be the connection to the motor?

It's most likely the handlebar control switch. Get the bike to a Specialized dealer and they will replace under warranty.
