LETS SEE YOUR RIDE FOOTAGE

I've given myself some shoulder issues coming off Monday!
Au Naturale on the other side of the Hurtwood carpark has some new wood drops as well.
They've been doing a fair bit of work on John the Baptist a brand big new scary double in the middle, will have to get over there this weekend...
Yeah, I didn't want the guys to go down that trail as I described it as unavoidable jumps, I think it's ruining the flow of the trail.

I was lucky, I'd just come back from a week in Glentress when I went down it the first time, after it had been quite extensively re-modelled - so I had a fair bit of bottle and trust in the trail makers. It can't quite be described as a flow trail, but you can just about get through without taking to the air (the missus does) But the (scary) new double in the middle you'll have to go up and around it...

Last ride in the lakes today until next time visiting, found a different route around cartmel etc that I thought I'd try. I thought it was going to be disastrous at first thinking the route was just a reverse of what I normally do ! Parts were exactly that but it provided an alternative fun way round and I accidentally stumbled upon some unofficial trails 🫢 which made this ride very enjoyable 😎

Which would be the better action camera for biking?

DJI Osmo Action 6 or Insta360 Ace Pro 2?

I guess low light capability, image stabilisation and battery life would be the deciding factors?

I can get either through my works Technology Benefits scheme and both are a similar price.

I like my osmo action 5, but it is quite big - If the specs are similar I'd say go for the smallest - most convenient mounting one

I have the DJI action 4 coupled to a battery pack on a chest mount, and edited in the free version of Devinch resolve.
Also wireless microphones are far superior to the built-in one.
Although in my last recordings that I'm editing now. The cheap mics have stopped working, so I've bought some dji ones.
I've found the older version GoPro to be very lacking and not very reliable.
No idea about the new ones.

Why not just carry an extra camera battery? They're so small and last quite a long time (at least in my OA6).

It's just what I've done for ages, since the crappy GoPro batteries used to expand and get stuck in the camera.
No swapping or it running out of juice and turning off on a good bit. Plus it's also powering the wireless microphone receiver.
Just turn it on and forget about it all day.

Continuing with my discovery of "Gravel" I've done a bit more exploring of the Swinley Forest area and this time concentrated more on actual gravel and fire roads rather than the official Swinley trails I've been doing recently. I used Komoot to help me. Great fun in lovely weather.

And another one from Portugal.
Only the wireless microphones have stopped working , hence the crap sound ☹️

Is there anything more ebike than a bloke in full kit & on his bike puffing on a fag in the car park behind you? 😂

Hadn't done any big rides in a while, got back into it with a huge ride in Molini and a scenic one near home.

Probably my favourite trail right now, Agrifolio in Molini, poor drone couldn't keep up due to the trees:

Had been wanting to film this trail for a while as it is quite flat so low speed, not sure the tech come out on film:

Same spot as above, but with some descending

A quick vid from today, hadn't ridden here for many years. Used to be called Prospect Hill but see the signs now refer to it as Bells Gully.

Funny watching that, nice small little drops/jumps I'm fine with, as long as the landing doesn't have a lip.
Same size jump with a "landing", I was like, nah.
I need to be hypnotised or something lol
