Join Us at the Forest of Dean - EMTB Forums Group Ride, Sunday 3rd March

If anyone wants a future ‘gnarl’ group ride with challenging off piste descents . Happy to plan a route . Including a few qualifiers to assess suitablity .

i am super keen in this, prob get my crazy m8 to tag along too, we maybe need a offpiste thread?

er do i thumbs up or thumbs down this.
Whats your new ride?
Well I guess you will have to see on the next ride out unless we meet up before then, I don’t think it’s too hard to guess if I say I went for the green and black one ?

Trail Watts will try to be there. Would be good to see the ebike movement through FoD ?

I think we should cancel this.

I was there today and the trails are running great. The last time there was a forum ride at FoD the heavens opened and bloody ruined it... :ROFLMAO:

I'll be there on my giant for my first group ride, like the idea of some off piste stuff! Scott Bowers and Nicholas Rawlings ?

I'm hoping to come along, get home the day before and apparently my kenevo is being serviced that day, so will see if I'm awake and the bike is back!

Added everyone to the list. Just working out finer details now. More details to follow..
  • Rideout to have 2 groups
  • Standard group - Blue runs & regular trail ride, some technical features
  • Advanced group - Black / Red with more technical riding / drops
Unfortunately the weather has turned, so plan accordingly!

If anyone local is interested in leading the regular blue less technical trails please PM me ?

How many people will want the toddler route?
How blue does it need to be?

I really want to do the black route but will lead the kiddies if necessary...

Advanced group - All off piste stuff similar to link below, so steep and rocky in places. Will do a suitable qualifier first to see the ability of the group / adapt the route accordingly if needed.

I recognise a few of those trails, but not all of them.

I will be there're +2
Cheers

Not sure which group to join. a lot of the above video looked ok but some of the drops looked a bit to much. hmmmmmm.

The forum rides are as much about the social aspect as the riding, go with the group your comfortable with, I find if riding somewhere new in a train of people I haven't ridden with before then a more chilled out approach is better!

Some of the drops do look worse than they are but there are some chicken lines to miss out the worse of it in places.
