I just had my first ride yesterday of the season on my gen 3 Levo. Get to be back on it but I couldn't get over how loud the motor sounded. I've spent the last few months on my Ep8 bike, and the motor doesn't even get picked up in my audio, but it's quite loud here.

Someone mentioned that they could hear me coming from the motor.

The video cut to the point that it is loud --

That’s how my mate’s sounded just before he got his motor replaced.

It sure is loud compared to my Shimano EP8, as well as yours @Haveland.

(I mentioned "Shimano" specifically as an antidote to the Shimano comments made about its alleged noisiness).

Hello, my new levo does the same noise since the first climb. I recorded a video and asked the shop about that. They rode the bike and said this sound was normal, they also sent the video to Specialized who confirmed it is ok. The shop told me that the carbon frame is noiser than alloy.

The sound is louder when I use more assisted mode. Last time I rode mainly I eco mode and the noise was less noticeable. I will keep an ear on it if the noise get heavier, so far the motor does its job and the bike is under warranty for 2 years...

sounds pretty much like my Levo 3. I will surely go see my dealer before the waranty is over. (1 year to go)

This is how the brose motor sounds under full power stress. I have 2 bikes with brose motors, an older levo and a new gen 3 levo. The gen 3 is noticeably quieter, but not by much. The older one was rebuilt a few months ago and the noise was louder after the new planetary gears. I expect the new gen 3 motor to get louder over time. It is quieter than the old one, but not by much especially under full power. Under less stress the motor is very quiet, but once I start climbing steep hills it gets loud like your video.
