Induction Charging
I have a few devices kicking around that use this method of charging. Even my stove/cooking range uses induction for heating. It’s safe and simple.
But what about charging my eMTB battery? The problems of water ingress could be negated at the point of plastic female plugs. A magnetic could even be used for correct orientation thus eliminating the male plug and/or “flap-door”.
Slap it on and walk away. Maybe enough current isn’t possible, but I’d install that if it was available.

Inefficient compared to cable. When we look at phones with wireless charging, the wireless uses about 40% more power to deliver the same charge.

The issues that some people have related to water ingress on charging ports can simply solved by better placement and design of the ports.

I'm not against any advances in e-bike charging methods but this feels like solution to a problem that does not exist or more like there are more simple solutions available.
