I'm 1m77 as well and found the M Trek a perfect fit when I took one for a test ride Tried a large initially and it was really horrendous for me to ride - seemed like riding a Caddilac when I was used to a Pontiac.

Even better comparison.
A couple other observations/comments. I did not like the bars on the Rail I rode as I prefer something a bit straighter. On my first Scott and my Levo, changing the saddle made a huge difference to the feel of the bike as well.

Om 176cm and ride a M Rail. I’ve ridden the L quite a bit too. I think the M is a much better fit. The L just feels “more” bike and less nimble.
