I’d cycled from Sowerby Bridge, through Luddenden Dean, over Midgeley Moor, Hardcastle Crages and headed to Widdop and then to Hurtswood, back to Hebden then home. 60km, really hard going, trails were really boggy and had range anxiety on the way home!

Yeh, it’s an unusual climatic phenomenon in that area, it’s always a headwind regardless of the direction of riding…
