Those who think expense is no object need not criticise.
Having baulked at the price of an Sram Eagle NX 11/50 12 speed cassette - which seem to wear quickly with UK winter mud - for my Shimano Hub, I plumped for a VG Sports 11/50 at half the price from Aliexpress.
I had previously replaced the chainwheel and chain but the cassette proved too worn and jumped teeth.
The VG fitted straight on and works fine in 11 of the 12 gears but misses 5th - goes from 4th to 6th.
I have adjusted indexing as well as possible.
Can it be shimmed between 4th & 5th or will than mean losing a gear either end?
