What’s the roof load limit for your vehicle? Even if I fancied lifting an eMTB up to roof height (which I don’t) and holding it there whilst I secured it I think I’d find the anxiety over it falling off too much to take.

This question was asked and sort of answered on EMBN this week. Ones rates over 20kg are hard to find.

I also have a 2019 Levo Comp and I wouldn’t roof mount it. There‘s a number of threads on here discussing options for wheel & battery removal to reduce weight but inevitably comes down to the alternatives, e.g. tow bar rack or inside a van/car.

I have occasionally transported my ebike(s) on Thule 565 thruride. Without front wheel and battery, bike (Levo and Kona Remote) is under 20kg limit. But the 565 is a bit short and size XL bikes barely fit. It's also a pain to mount the bike alone.

As others said, look for alternatives to roof mount.
