Just joining the ranks of eMTBing. Used to ride a lot, got lazy, thought about buying a motorbike, decided eMTB would be more fun, would go more places and is cheaper! Bought a Giant Trance E+2 2019 at 30%+ off so seems like a bargain. Not allowed to ride it until after Christmas though as it's a present from SWMBO :( Am fighting the temptation to take it out when she goes out...

Take it out, take it out? Christmas is way too far off. Hope you enjoy it.

You really should take it out .. firstly to make sure everything is correct, like the motor and the battery. You need to make sure it charges correctly and discharges correctly (which you won't know unless you ride it for a couple of hours)...

Also, by riding it between now and xmas, will give you chance to find anything you think could be improved on the bike, so as to give the OH stocking filler ideas .. like pedals, grips ...

Keeping the battery regularly "cycled" by charging and riding is VITALLY important for the longevity of your bikes electric components.... VITALLY !! If it just sits there for more than 3 or 4 weeks it might decompose and never work again ..
