This seems quite promising, cheaper production costs compared to traditional battery manufacture, and 8 times more power, which I imagine could be translated into a lighter smaller capacity too.

Only good to 0 degrees C according to the article. That's a huge limiting factor I would imagine.
Plus that article is nearing 7 years old? I would've thought by now there'd be alot more news about it if it was being actively researched/experimented with.
