Yah mean Cowboys and Injuns? Stop it with all your high-brow, Mr. fancy-pants lingo. Yutta Hey, Kimosabe. 😁
I need the latest version of “Alphabet’s For Idiots” as a guide, and a copy of “How to Walk in Egg Shells”. 😳

As someone who is bilingual in English and Canadian, I can confirm that neither of us has any idea what a Texan cowboy is saying. We need subtitles for both sides of the border!
🙂👍 Pah! Have been dealing closely with Texans and LA/AL people who gave a sh.. if people could follow conversations, or not. But hey, Scots can do even worse! Besides not understanding the verbal language they are able to let you remain clueless in their writing, as we got to know here. 😎

The best thing in this honorable forum is that you can learn something new every day, have a smile if not laughter, sometimes have to think again about your own wordings if some members (non-US) put the crab emoji on you.

And finally it has great mods, taking care of it, us and Greg Watts. 👍👍👍

Yo… I should've been clearer the "it's all Greek to me" pun was genuinely funny, no shade to the Hodge at all. I tried to convey that with “the pun is fun” But my bad for not flagging that upfront. I was aiming at the broader forum default mode, not the comment. There's a difference between one dude making a joke and the whole room acting like English is the default setting for the entire planet. The Galileo thing was about the ethos, the reflex of "if it's not in English, it's not worth engaging with" not anyone in particular.

The Hodge's pun was quite funny and self aware. The problem is when that becomes the whole operating system.

Anyway, didn't mean to make it personal. Carry on. 🤙

No ..the welch is something we do if we dont want to make good on a bet ..and we only suffer the Welsh in England 😉
I think you might find that they speak both btw.
Sarcasm also at play here 😁
That was lovely play! 👍🏼 I DO know the correct spelling... maybe I was being a C. 😉

It may come as a shock to a lot of folks on here who only know me as a mild mannered ,loveable character ..and never has a bad word to say about anyone 😉 ..but its time to confess..my missus got it right years ago with this 'present'

I thought you were going to say mild mannered janitor then - I was having visions of Hong Kong Phooey - showing my age now.
