Hi all! I'm 100% newbie in e-bikes. Just last week I purchased my first bike. It's not mountain bike, since I only bought the thing for work commute. Ended up getting Trek Allant+ 8 and so far I'm loving it. Haven't driven a car one meter after getting the bike 10 days a go. I intend to use my e-bike for practically every single commute I have, which puts premium on comfort and reliability. After looking at few options and test driving I found that the Allant+ 8 was most comfortable to drive. I also liked the fact that it's a big brand model, which at least gives the feeling of trustworthy warranty and decent quality.
I'm entirely new to cycling all together, I used to drive Serious 8-ball to work on a non-regular basis. But that's pretty much it. Maybe 30 commutes per year. So I have practically zero experience in maintaining a bike, e or regular. I do intend to look and ask for tips on how to get the best out of my e-bike and how to maintain it so that it has as long life as possible.
